The closest you can get to a Dark Knight game
Despite plenty of nerd chat about the upcoming film at the conference, E3 has been free of any news about an adaptation of the upcoming Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight. So, as heart-breaking as it is, it looks like the closest we're going to get to a Dark Knight game for the moment is free web game Gotham City Street Chase.
Luckily, this is the Batman game you've always dreamed of, with The World's Greatest Detective chasing down grenade-tossing vans while he tries to avoid oncoming traffic. Yeah, it's exactly as fun as it sounds.

*And a Dark Knight game would be epic.

Games based off movies are mostly crap anyway. There are a few exceptions but meh.
Nick the Hero of Canton @ Jul 15th 2008 8:08PM
This game looks epic like Epic Movie was epic.
Roofie @ Jul 15th 2008 8:19PM
This game is almost as good as Batman Forever!
Anticrawl @ Jul 15th 2008 8:37PM
Bat nipples!
Anticrawl @ Jul 15th 2008 8:38PM
I don't know about you guys but the whole Batman drives a tank and has a fetish for gigantic rubber wheels pisses me off. They got the gothic theme of batman right, even made it a bit edgy in the first and second movie. But the vehicles Batman drives are way way out of character and theme. That alone keeps it from being the best comic book movie, or even in the top 10.
Chef Reinhold @ Jul 15th 2008 8:47PM
Are you serious?
theturtle363 @ Jul 15th 2008 8:47PM
I will fight you. BTW the tank batmobile comes from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, which is a comic.
Anticrawl @ Jul 15th 2008 8:58PM
Yes I've read through the comic in question, you're talking about the 80's batman right, pretty sickening. I like a gothic batman personally, I mean the city is called Gothem and he dresses in black as a Bat. The original Batmobile was just an average car, red or brown or something. It slowly got more batlike and gothic looking until Frank Miller shat all over it and now Christopher Nolan.
The did do a great job with the Joker though. Movie (soon to be movies) were great, I just hate the fucking Bat-misc.
Nick the Hero of Canton @ Jul 15th 2008 8:58PM
I think Chef is expected a "Why So Serious?" comment. I won't give it to him.
Anticrawl @ Jul 15th 2008 9:00PM
That and batman was a detective of sorts originally, and still is in a sense, so stealth would be a nice asset. Not to say any of his methods are convetional or practical but a fucking tank or bike with gigantic ass wheels is really pushing it.
theturtle363 @ Jul 15th 2008 9:05PM
you can't even spell Gotham right! How am I supposed to seriously argue about my favorite character with that!
Anticrawl @ Jul 15th 2008 9:12PM
Yes, because I spell phonetically I’m no longer worthy of speaking anything Bat-lated. A mistake in spelling sure, but you haven't given me any reason for loving this obscene bat-tank.
theturtle363 @ Jul 16th 2008 8:37PM
because it's a bat-tank
Chef Reinhold @ Jul 15th 2008 8:45PM
Great. I think I can skip the movie now. I get it.
theturtle363 @ Jul 15th 2008 8:45PM
Don't say that! There's still time!
Alex K. @ Jul 15th 2008 9:02PM
F*** comcast, i'm not playing it
NvM @ Jul 16th 2008 4:07PM
wasn't there a Batman Begins game that was alright?
