A better look at Wolfenstein (and yes, it's hitting PC)

Hot on the (wolf?) tail of the ever-so-brief debut trailer for the game, Activision has unleashed a pack of first-ever Wolfenstein screens. Well, technically, they're of the new Wolfenstein ... not the original, although they share the same title (minus a "3D"). But we figured you'd guessed that after taking a gander at it above.

Oh, and to clear up any confusion, Activision has confirmed that the game will hit PCs as well as PS3 and Xbox 360. The only thing we need now is a date. (Our eagerness to crack some nazi skulls remains more than sufficient, thankyouverymuch.)

This game was so fun on the original xbox, it brings back so many memories of airstrike spawn kills. This game would have lasted a very long time on live if it wasn't for the extreme hacking that was going on.

Yay for PC support. I can't stand shooters on console, but since this will be on PC I will get it.

Will they actually be Nazis or do we get "Wolfenstein: Revisionist History"?

It's Wolfenstein, obviously they'll be Nazi's.

based on the huge swastika banner I saw at the beginning of the teaser trailer yesterday, I'd say it's nazis.

Actually, I'm sure it will both have Nazis and be revisionist history... just as it has always been.

The original Wolfenstein was Castle Wolfenstein in 1982 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_Wolfenstein). Yea I'm old!

That game was great.

Never did figure out how to get past the door and kill Hitler though.

Somehow I remember getting a mortar but it was always wet or something like that.

Wolfenstein 3D was also not the first Wolfenstein.

why would it "hitting PC" be news? It's always been a PC franchise first. Id Software want do anything without PC/Mac.

When I read the first announcement of the game, I assumed PC and then whatever console they decide.

I'd definitely get this for the PC though

Are we sure this isn't coming out on the original Xbox? Because that's what the graphics look like.

I'd like it to keep similar to RTCW... that game's SP was awesome, although many people seem to disapprove it. Guess their imaginations aren't quite as good as mine. :p

Anyway, this game looks graphically good, not sure about the rest of it. We'll just have to wait and see.

Are we going to have available a Linux installer??????
