I doubt it. The last Halo game just came out less then a year ago. They were probably going to announce that other game they are cooking up.

Anyways, whats with MS? Have they all suddenly lost their ability to do their job?

I mean they announce a 3rd party multiplat game during the conference. Don will basically announce a 2009 game during E3 to a reporter. But they won't announce Bungies next game, while tens (if not hundreds) of thousands watch. Because they want to focus on this years games. That strategy last year, lost them 08.

Seriously. Tell me what exclusives your looking forward to next year.

Halo Wars. A niche game, that doesn't appeal to many other then people that already own 360s.

Pjs game- No trailer, no title. The game just began development earlier this year. Probably not coming untill 010.

Alan Awake-- No information in ages. No gameplay footage. Still no idea what this game is about.

Thats 09s 360 lineup as we know it now.

Going up against KZ2, MAG, God of War 3, the agency, DC online, and probably a bunch of other games I don't know about. Because im a Xbox fanboy.

Clearly, 360 sales are going to suffer late this year, and early next year just because the 360s 09 lineup looks terrible from an outsider standpoint. I think Microsoft really has a public perception problem.

Prep your selves fanboys, because we are going to have another year where everyone says the 360s lineup sucks.

Seriously, get back in the game. The 3 big conferences are broadcasted live to tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of core gamers via the internet and television.

Your soft ware tie-in is droping. Monthly sales are dropping.

Analysts and retailers keep claiming the 360 has lost value in the eyes of the consumer. They keep claiming the ps3 will either take second or first place.

It was your job to prove them wrong this conference. You didn't. And now your going to be heading into 09 with a disavantage from the get go. Just because you didn't announce any of the games, that you could of and obviously should of announced.

Hint: Casual gamers play under 3 hours a week. They aren't watching an hour and a half gaming conference. Don't make any lengthy attempts to win the casual over during your conference. Because it will have no positive effect. You win them over by advertising, nice box art and word of mouth. Not the same kind of hype driven targeting that works for the Hardcore gamers.

Here's something to consider. Go back and watch very first Halo Wars trailer, I think from 2006. It doesn't show game play, just a cut scene. At one point, with the ODST losing badly, a Spartan sticks his head up and says something like "Spartan Blue Squadron." I'm not at my console, but he specifically says "Spartan Blue" The new Halo game mentioned at WalMart? Halo Blue. Maybe a 4 or 5 Spartan team tactical shooter? Just saying... Granted, the original trailer still said Ensemble games, but Bungie had the master chief in Dead or Alive...

I am freaking out right now...it's 6am and I have to be up at 8:50am. I'm not even tired anymore. I stayed up for 7 hours crying about the cancellation, but now all of a sudden this happens and I'm so confused and scared and excited.

This is dumb, I was really hoping they were gonna try something new and not just do the same thing over and over again.

I thought the whole idea of Bungie leaving Microsoft was to do new things?

Ah well..i hope it's something original from the universe at least.

oh, please, please be Halo 3 on PC !!!

Last night I went to bed rather sad that the announcement was cancelled. I was really hoping I would hear about an addition to my favorite game series of all time.

I guess I got what I wanted. I just woke up about an hour ago, and this has already made my day.

I wonder if Don had a tattoo of it like Moore used to. Thatd be great to see him with one.

in some ways i hope that that bungie doesnt make another FPS because Halo 3 would be too difficult to improve on....the game has everything and has set a standard i don't think any game (including COD4) could reach

That is a pretty big slip up. Very exciting none the less. I wonder if it is going to be out next year or if it is a project that won't be released til 2010.

Halo 3-2. Where you play as a covie grunt and what armor you accessorize is vital to the gameplay.

Ooowee. Boo-yah. Murky Muddy Waters guitar riff, cool. But.................. Bungie, my friends. Not so generic with the voice-acting, please. Hire good actors, or clever comedians, for the V.O. booth. You had it right in 2 and forgot it in 3. 3's skewed lame and took me out of the game every single time. Make the flood think. Maneuver. Outwit. Make them much smarter. Make them lurk. Make them slaughter us in hordes. A little more Splinter Cell stealth through caves wrapped with flood. Crack Master Chief's mask a little. Just a little. A want to see a single eye. Music was better in 2. Gameplay has always been awesome. Focus on story. Don't be afraid to be simple. Make the narrative move, not hesitate. 3 hestiated often. Beginning, middle and end with a twist. A genuine surprise that comes out of character, not an improbable twist. Don't be afraid to be weird. Not have the aliens talk platitudes. have them say what they mean and mean what they say. Gotta stop cuz I'm sounding like my 8th grade math teacher. Halo! Bungie! Yes!!!!!!!!

i for one was disapointed with halo 3 it was a sweetend version of halo 2. definitely not utilizing the available technology. the series needs something new that actualy looks like its not the left overs from the original xbox. i am a die hard halo fan, but cod4 is spanking halo 3.
