I can't recall a big-hyped game I've been so completely disinterested in before.

Mr. ESC I'm on the 'stiq much less these days, and every time I'm on you're being a dick to someone. Is there something going on at home?

Looking WAY better than I thought it would. The stage transition idea is brilliant.

Bart Allen NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

"Add characters into the game that we didn't add for five bucks or something like that"

What? 5$ Phff,I don't expect them to be free but you'll have to include Impulse,Superboy,Starfire (Yes I'm a fan of Young Justice and Teen titans) and Darkseid If you want my 5 bucks.

Thinking baout it DLC FTW but I hope those aren't the prices.

Not bad, they may pull a passable game out of this. Problem is...I'm just not interested in this as a game, and despite all these supposed changes it looks too similar to MK Deadly Alliance / Deception / Armageddon. It's just hard to get excited about.

And this is coming from a comics reader and a person who is a much bigger MK fan than most.

I hope they do a good job with this. The MK fighting engine has gotten better over the years (the classic stuff is still great) so i don't really have any doubts for this one.

The problem with putting DC characters into a game (as opposed to Marvel characters) is that not every character is based on a super power and/or a power level. A lot of them are what they are because of skills (often not related to fighting) or their personalities.

Case in point, from a pure fighting standpoint, there's no way in hell Batman could ever beat Superman (obviously). But fans of Batman in the comic books would be quick to point out that Batman might (should?) be capable of outsmarting Superman... somehow.

The problem is you can't really build in an "outsmarting" mechanic into a fighting game (at least not a traditional fighting game).

So, while the gameplay might end up being really fun, and it could even turn out to be one of the best MKs in recent memory... I can't say I'm all that thrilled as a DC fan.

In fact, as a DC fan, it bothers me quite a bit.

Stop it, stop it, stop it. I really hate this reasoning. It's a fucking video game, what do you expect? If it really bothers you that much that Super-man is depowered then seriously stay way from any and all comic book related video games. I mean you might as well say that MvC sucked because it's unrealistic that Ryu can go toe to toe with Cable or the Hulk.

If you have any common sense, and you're not a sterotypical comic book fanboy, then you should have no problem getting over the fact that it isn't anything like the comics. It's easy, I was able to do it 5 minutes after the first trailer came out. You should be able to do it too.

The more I see of this game, the better it looks. While it may not be the same quality of MvC, I still think this will be an enjoyable game.

Personally, I'm really looking forward to seeing how this one ends up. It's a neat concept and MK: Deception was actually lots of fun. I think that this game could end up being ace.

I would have traded any of the announcements MS made for a first party, wireless, six buttons on face fighting pad with a kick-ass dpad.

I still have no idea if I will even buy any of the fighting games coming out because nobody has announced one, and I think the standard controller will be useless.
