If the DS money printer isn't out of ink, the Wii money press sure hasn't minted its last buck.

I see the Wii software library really starting to mimic the Nintendo DSs Library....a few 3rd party gems here and there....a nice stable of Nintendo reliables....and then a whole BUTTLOAD of shovelware.

Nintendo really needs to get some sort of Quality control in order or it'll be 1983 all over again.

The DS is really starting to shine lately. A fair amount of shovelware, but the ratio of good/bad is going up as developers start to actually make some good games. I suspect that in the next year the Wii will start to do the same.

As a product the Wii itself will continue to sell very very well to the main stream/ casual gamers.

But the Nintendo well for games for the 'core' gamer has well and truly run dry. They've released their Zelda, Mario, SSB and Metroid.. Thats their key franchises out the door. Whats left? While i'm sure theres many more titles they could still bring to the Wii, it seems they would rather focus on casual gamers for now.

Thankfully third party developers are bringing both casual and hardcore games to the Wii.
