It's disappointing when there's only a total of 4 games revealed for the PSP but....well these 4 games are awesome.

I like the look of all four of these.

But.

They won't get any mainstream advertising.
They won't sell to the masses.
And they'll float by ignored on the shelves, like diamonds in a sea of turds, as obviously underage kids pester their parents to buy them Generic Bald Space Marine Sim #32146587 or Gangster Sim #54684798361.

That's what happens to most PSP games anyway. Even Patapon when it launched for only $20! (It is an absolutely fantastic game for someone looking for a fun strategy game)

Anyways, the only one out of these that bugs me is Super Stardust just because I'm worried how the analog stick + face button thing will work. I'm hoping for a demo for that.

LocoRoco 2 is what I have been DYING for. The original is one of my favorites on the system.

Makes me feel good about my PSP purchase this year.. Although I wish I could of waited for that new entertainment pack with ratchet and clank and the other items in it.

oh well

And to Keiichi.. why don't you go back to play My Word coach or Petz on the DS and let us play our games.

Who mentioned the DS? It's pretty true that these games (bar Resistance) won't get the marketing push they deserve, and as such will end up being hard-to-find forgotten gems.

Are you implying that you enjoy playing "Generic Bald Space Marine Sim #32146587" or "Gangster Sim #54684798361?"

You don't have to defend shovelware that sells to idiots over good games which lack advertising.

And might I add that Resistance on the PSP looks pretty sick.

Tell you what: I'll stick to Okami, Ouendan, Katamari Damacy, LocoRoco, Patapon, ES21 etc, you stick to your weapon-fondling with bald space marines, faceless WWII soldiers and gangsters.

I'm not that interested in Resistance, only because I think those sorts of games aren't meant for handhelds. Super Stardust, LocoRoco and Patapon all look awesome though.

i thought like that until i tried syphon filter and other shooters on the psp. the control scheme just takes a bit of getting used to then your having fun. aslong as they keep in mind the level design and usability it could work.

It's not even the controls (or lack thereof) that fail to chime with me. I just think games like Resistance are the ones that most benefit from being cinematic, and that's best done in my living room.

Short, sharp bursts of colourful fun is what I'm after for the PSP, and the other three titles look to deliver that perfectly.

Resistance should have been third person the whole time but hey PSP starts it(TPS Resistance games) then PS3 continues. I hope that the Retribution game doesn't get ported to the PS2.

I agree with Keiichi. Where are mainstream PSP titles like GT mobile, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor? Or PSPN?

By still plugging ps2 and together with these announcements, it looks like the psp isn't a priority. This is not a console in the prime of its life.

Dear Sony:

You already know pirates are going to steal everything on the PSP, and you have to toss them a bone every now and then... So I have another solution.

DO MORE WITH THE PSP/PS3!

Just give us little extras across the board. Move the hud to the PSP, let it be the in-game realtime map, show my ammo... inventory... Heck, if nothing else how about graph useless statistics? "shots/second, hit%, KDR... ect" for full PS3 games.

You couldn't really 'pirate' those features, and you could actually claim innovation for once!
