i got resistance off ebay for £6 and got the limited edition assassins creed with the 12" altair figure for £19.99.
and in argos ratchet and clank can be picked up for £14.99!!

Platinum range without a question. They always screw our brothers across the pond so top of the morning to you guys (pretty sure I didn't use that right).

I already have the PAL 40GB and just got the DS3 in this morning, Japan version, much cheaper. I think I'll wait for a slim version with a smaller cell, as second PS3. Other then that I'm quite happy with the one I have right now, so I don't bother about this 80GB PS3. I'm happy its releasing over here, it will sure boost up sales some more, plus the line up of Platinum games sure makes it somewhat more interesting.

29.99 EUROS???? im sure during the sony media conference using LBP as its display tool that in the US the platinum titles were $29.99 (about £15)
yes we expect some mark up, vat, because we are in europe etc
but 29.99 euros is about what £25??
you can get ratchet, assassins creed, resistance, motorstorm, smackdown etc all for less than £20 anyway

europe as a whole is huge for sony yet they give us nothing and when they do they expect us to pay top notch for it!!!

Most definitely the Platinum range, but hey, may the Europeans have for once something interesting? We may wait until 2009 before we'll get to see the video download service over here.

Ratchet will also be in the Greatest Hits (Take a look at the postet Photo there). I bet they will also get Uncharted and everything else... Also their Covers look decent... Did you see the ugly yellow stuff we'll be getting? Disgusting!

What about the US? When will it be getting this 80GB Core pack? Are there any specs on it that you know of?

Its actually £20 in UK confirmed on gameindustry.biz also i sent this and news about the 80GB PS3 into PS3 Fanboy 4-5 hours ago and they just got it up and didnt include me in the sources!!!

I guessed this is the biggest news. The 80g is replaced by the 40g at the same price. Now you can see PS3 is desperate to sell its consoles. It is a shame to see the winner for the last two console generations to end up in third place. This cocky price tag is too much. Customer never change their habits spending money. If the price tag is too high, then people will go for the next best alternative product XBOX360.

Not really Sony kinda deserved it this gen as far I can go back they started slinging mud and now they got what they deserve. The PS3 a great system its just the people who market it are dicks and I think maybe some are just plain dumb.

Next gen everything will have Blu-Ray(excluding Nintendo they might wow us with some cool innovation and the others will copy) so I think Sony got what they wanted sure they lost 3.2 billion but hey at least they got there format accepted as the leader.

I also wanna say that why is Sony promoting DD if they want Blu-Ray out there selling big bucks, I mean Blu Ray won't sell if people could just get that same HD content from a download.
