Maybe you and the magazine could do swapsies.

If they make more money than you or have more favour in the industry then you could take advantage of the similarity. For instance that cover, say they didn't pay you yet, demand the cheque now, and then go and celebrate.

I think they'd catch on when Ludwig demands to be paid in "crazy French money".

Joystick was also a US magazine in the early 80's. Only 3 episodes were published but were great. It included a writeup for the first Space Wars game with pictures from the 60's and talked about the wooden joystick. They also had an article on Intellivision and there concept for DL content which was eerily like Live but never saw the light of day.
Alas the magazine is nothing but a footnote in gaming history.

I hate to be THAT GUY, but Ludwig, your use of commas in this (and nearly every other post you make) is horribly wrong. You write, "A sincere question coming from the developers of acrobatic Gears of Civil War shooter, Damnation, once again brings us in direct competition with longtime Joystiq nemesis and mistaken alternate identity, Joystick Magazine."

Those commas before and after "Damnation" and before "Joystick" are unnecessary and incorrect. Commas of separation don't apply here; your usage implies that the statements set off by commas could be excised from the sentence. They can't.

Ludwig, you're missing my point. If you had put an article in the sentence, such as "A sincere question coming from the developers of the Gears of Civil War shooter, Damnation," that would have been correct. But you didn't. You had "A sincere question coming from the developers of Gears of Civil War shooter, Damnation." Take out "Damnation" (as suggested by your improper usage of commas of separation) and the sentence makes no sense: "A sincere question coming from the developers of Gears of Civil War shooter."

To further explain, Ludwig, let me take your post here: "I had to disagree with a guy, Timby, about his opinion of my comma usage." That's perfectly fine. But to use the comma methodology of your original posting ("Gears of Civil War shooter, Damnation,"), you would suggest that "I had to disagree with guy, Timby, about his opinion of my comma usage" is correct ... and it's not.
