Soul Calibur IV demo coming 'down the road'

According to reps manning the company's E3 room, the devs are currently putting all of their effort towards getting the game ready for its release for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on July 29. As for what and when exactly we can expect from the demo when it's finally released, Namco Bandai wouldn't say, teasing only that it'll be available sometime "down the road."

Down the road just before Release Ave? Or down the road, right on 2 Week Blvd, and a left after The Game Comes Out St?

"teasing only that it'll be available sometime 'down the road.'"
Why do I get a mental image of Banner walking down a lonely road with that music playing in the background?
Anyway, I'll wait for the demo.

I wouldn't mind a demo, but I really don't think it would provide a fair impression of the game anyway. Chances are, they'd only have maybe four characters available, and it's kind of difficult to tell whether or not the roster is balanced with only 4 characters.
I'll just wait for the reviews, I guess.

Something looks off. Other than the entire premise, I mean. I don't think that is Vader's usual fighting style. I think he typically fights one-handed, as the arrogant bad-ass he is.

On the subject of demos, is Too Human all we are going to get? If so, that ain't "bringing it home", microsoft.

I can't wait to motorboat my tv.

I don't know that the lack of a demo is important. Soul Caliber is a known quantity. It's not like it is a new game trying to get some traction.
Sabi @ Jul 17th 2008 10:36PM
i think you meant quality not quantity...

That makes no sense!

I dunno. Sounds like they might be rushing things again. >_>

^_^ There's something magical about a metal shield that can deflect a searing laser beam. Can't wait to see how they explain this one, heck I'm still pondering how the hell Link got thrown into SC.

I don't care much for this type of game, but how the hell does Vader and Yoda get involved? Playing as them should mean game over. None of those other pants-pissing characters would stand a chance against the Force and a lightsaber.

I don't mind the delayed release of a demo. I think it will increase their impulse buyer sales and maybe give the devs a tiny, little, impossibly small amount of extra polishing time before retail release if they don't have to do a demo.
I'm not buying the game until I try it though. I've been disappointed by too many impulse buys and I don't have the money to throw down 60 bucks then trade it in for 30. I really want a next-gen KoF anyway.
