Fill the void with The Conduit developer interview
60
Let's face it -- most of the gamers who read this (or any) gaming blog aren't the audience Nintendo was targeting during their E3 2008 press conference. Many long-time members of the Wii camp felt betrayed by Ninty's "major" announcements -- that's why we thought we'd try to buck-up your spirits with a GameTrailers developer interview for a title that's been gathering quite a bit of attention from fans of the pint-sized home console: High Voltage Games' The Conduit.
Voltage's Chief Creative Officer, Eric Nofsinger, doesn't exactly dish any new dirt about the title in the above video, though the gameplay shown looks solid, and fairly attractive by the standards of its designated console. Whether or not it's worthy of the hype surrounding it, we'll have to wait until the first quarter of next year to find out. In the mean time, you'll just have to feign excitement over the Wii's thoroughly unexciting Noise Creation Engine.

@Hyams
I love you:) finally someone understands me on the Killzone 2 situation.
Well I got to say The Conduit looks good but I believe the gameplay is what counts especially do to the fact that it is on the Wii. The motion controls on the Wii kinda makes it less generic to me because it uses all motion controls making you really feel like you are actually using a gun but other than that its just plain generic from gun fights to gimmicks(ASE puzzle thingy).

Looks like a generic 3-way cross between Halo, Resistance, and Half-Life. And yet, I am drawn to it. (darn those semi-appealing, generic fps's) At least it should be better than Red Steel, which I actually happened to like...

I know this game is the king of generic FPSes, and on either of the competitors, it would be ho-hum
That's exactly what makes it so beloved of Wii-only owners like me, it's a neat change of pace. while the N64 had a good number of generic FPSes, the GC had virtually none, and the Wii has had even fewer so far (not counting Light-gun games as FPSes anyway)
It's unique to me, even though i understand that its nauseatingly familiar territory for any PS360 (or high-powered PC) owner

Well it should be unique to Wii owners cause they never get any good shooters other than Metroid. PS360 is known for producing generic shit.... I mean shooters(FPSs) Resistance started it, Halo followed, Resistance follows again followed by Killzone 2 then Conduit. We don't know about Half-life 2 ep 3 or the next Halo cause Valve and Bungie can make great FPSs so when they hear the out cry for more innovation in FPSs they might listen and say about time we innovate the genre and bring some life back into it but for now we gotta stick to our generic gameplay but beautiful looking FPSs.
No one is doing anything innovative in the FPS genre anymore I mean damn all were getting is sequeals and copies. I know and fully believe the genres not dead

HALO came before Resistance, unless you mean HALO 3. But HALO started this shitfest, not Resistance

The reason for the defence of this game is because we finally have a fps on the wii! similar to the 100's on the HD console! and the graphics looks pretty good!
Let us enjoy our FPS with motion controls!
