Im sorry but, how does it look like crap? In all likeliness, its not gonna be a AAA title. However, all we have here is a scan of a cover that may or may not be legit. You've already gathered from one picture of Sonic, (which by the way, the picture looks badass) that his game is going to be crap?

At least give Sega a chance to prove you wrong. Not saying they will, but still way to early to dismiss it.

Yeah come to think of it, most Sonic games actually look good prior to release and end up sucking.

Maybe Sega is trying the opposite strategy here.

Complaints aren't really valid until you've played the game. It could be a disaster, or inspired. I mean, I know internet denizens love to make baseless assumptions but this is a little ridiculous. Can we really judge a game from one picture? It's not even a screenshot.

Having said all that, Sonic looks amazing and this has Game of the Year 2009 written all over it. I hope it's not Sega's intention to turn Sonic into an annual event - like Crash Bandicoot. He could lose his freshness.

Sonic looks more part of nintendo than Mario itself on that cover.

But I love to see him more on the 360, too bad Sega plans on turning the Xbox on some kind of Dreamcast 2, fail miserable :(.

As a long time Sonic fan, I can't even get excited for a new Sonic game anymore. Everything has been a bigger and bigger dissapointment since Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast. Don't get me wrong, I loved Adventure, but like a few of you have already mentioned, they never built on what made it fun.

All they have to do is look at what Nintendo did with Sonic in Brawl. Sonic can be a 3D model playing on a 2D plane and work just fine. Just make Sonic the Hedgehog Wii thats plays like a 2D game with 3D visuals then camera control and sense of speed won't work against each other.
