1UP has some details on the pseudo-port from Famitsu, largely centered on the efforts to make the game more casually appealing. For starters, there's no more timer, you just complete missions and move on. There have also been tweaks to the camera and controls based on Resident Evil 4. And yes, you can expect some motion controls -- in exactly the ways you'd expect -- which you can read about here.

Good fucking job with reading the article you linked to Sir Justin McElroy. And a good job to the rest of you who only read article headlines.
Thank you and goodnight.
It also looks like they all look the same....

Already hating it before its even out... thats bad..
"The story structure is a bit different from the 360 version, however: Instead of having your janitor friend Otis continually tell you about things to investigate via your transceiver, the game will proceed in a more traditional, less time-sensitive fashion. "
That is full of win to me. The time element was a pisser - as way Otis driving me nuts all the time.
There we go!
Seriously why are they even bothering doing this. They've ruined most of what was fun about the real Dead Rising.

Anyway, I've already sold the game to a knucklehead, so I'll probably wait and see how good the Wii version is before I re-buy.

When I said Knucklehead I didn't mean someone who was boneheaded or lacked thought. It means something completely different here in London.
Different areas of London – and I suppose most places – talk differently. It probably depends on your social background and all that stuff. Like, for example, if you have friends, or you know people, in different areas of the city and you start talking about 'kut' and 'mustaches' you'd get a myriad of responses depending on their background, and what they might happen to get upto.
The same goes for the word 'head', or as I said, 'knucklehead'. It was a flippant, throwaway word. Yadda-yadda-yadda.

If you've played it on the 360 already there's little reason to buy this, but for those with just a Wii this is a chance to play a fantastic game.

Complaining about the game's timed nature/structure/save system is like complaining that there aren't enough robots in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, or enough boss battles in "Pac-Man: Championship Edition."
God, please just let those of us who are tired of every sandbox game having almost exactly the same mission/faction-based structure have just this one title that we can love for its innovation.
As I've said on this site and others, Dead Rising's structure are what made it one of my favorite games to begin with. It's so nice to have a game with a plot that's not simply scripted to the player's arrival. When people say, "Hurry up and do this!" you actually have to hurry, not stop off for some nachos, smash in some zombies' heads, take a detour to the other end of the mall and maybe wander over to the part of the mall that triggers the scripted event at some undetermined point in the future.
You are absolutely correct. The only difference being that Dead Rising actually HAS a timed nature, 'structure', and save system where the bullshit you list is absent from the respective game.
Let me rephrase then.
Complaining that Dead Rising needs "fixing" because of its structure/save system is akin to saying that Oblivion would be better with robots, or that Pac-Man: Championship Edition needs boss battles. It's not like every other sandbox game on the planet because it was a design choice. And there are a lot of us who love it for that reason.

Oh, and the screenshots looks like something from the late 90s or some mobile phone games.

Thanks Capcom, it wasn't bad enough that I can't get new Okami boxart, now I can't even buy one of my favorite 360 games. I understand the Wii doesn't have the CPU power, but give me a fucking break. 10 zombies? Battalion Wars has all out battles that can have almost 60 units at once, and you can only get it to 10 zombies?
I so hope I'm wrong, and that these screens are from the Easy mode or something, because I have no faith in them bringing RE5 to the Wii.
