Sega confirms Sonic and the Black Knight, Spring 2009

Sonic continues his storybook adventures with Sonic and the Black Knight, a Wii-exclusive Arthurian sequel to the Arabian Nights-infused Sonic and the Secret Rings. In this installment, Sonic picks up a sword "to aid in his effort to save the day," causing us to wonder aloud (stop staring at us!) if Black Knight could be one of the first third-party games to utilize the Wii MotionPlus.

Oh, and far be it from us to tell Sega how to run its show but, despite the opportunity provided by a recent industry event, the first you'll see of Sonic and the Black Knight will be within the pages of next month's Nintendo Power before its release in Spring 2009.

Then I'll tell you via reply how right you are. ^.^ I might actually put Secret Rings above SA2, but it's close either way.

WHy is it so wrong to give sonic a sword....Come on it,s like giving mario Fludd in super mario sunshine.

He doesn't look half bad with a sword... I just hope Sega somehow finds a way to not screw this up.

I thought Secret Rings was pretty good, just very frustratingly unpolished.

Wow gotta love how everyone slams the game before you even see a screenshot. Jesus Christ people you cant be serious. Its like what happened with Halo 2. Everyone went Oh its Halo so that means its gonna rock...it sucked >_> they made up with Halo 3 butmy point is dont judge it till you play it.

Oh and btw I liked EVERY SINGLE SONIC GAME EVER MADE be they 2D or 3D Im a true fan and I love the twists and turns the series has taken over the years and between this, Unleashed and Chronicles, I cant wait.

Oh and please no bullshit about my liking the 3D games, especially Sonic 2006 cause Im sorry but I loved that game and still do.
