youve got to think condenmed 2 came out on the ps3 with the first one being an exclusive to the 360 - and given EA are now publishing the game/franchise, and being the publishing monster they are, i can expect to see this being multiplatform (360/PS3/PC)

Well yea, the PC clearly is the other platform. If you look at everything the guys from Bioware have said to date is 360/PC without quesiton.

who wants to bet EA has soemthing to do with this?

maybe the mean that the PC ports make it non-exclusive/semi-exclusive.

well less exclusives is better for all gamers except fanboys

Oh dear ... where are all the 360 trolls when they lose an exclusive? Probably picking up their broken console from the repair shop.

PLEASE come to PS3. My PC is just under the minimum spec and there's no way I'm buying another 360 (3rd one died two days out of warranty).

Mass Effect is ill.. it goes to the ps3, good for them. They can then play the 1st one on a PC, because, well y'know, M$ published the 1st one...

Just to help clarify matters I'd like to point out that while we reported it, it was in fact X360 Magazine - UK that made the crucial error, not XboxOZ360-gamer.

It simply reported what was written (printed) in their latest issue, issue #4 which appeared on page 14 in their very first paragraph, which reads and I quote:

"Speaking exclusively to 360 at EA's European Showcase. BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka restated his company's commitment to bring the Mass Effect trilogy exclusively to the Xbox 360, despite having been brought up by Electronic Arts and analysts claiming it would go multiplatform."

Note THEIR use of the word "Exclusively" - NOT ours. We simply reported the fact. It's a bit like shooting the horse because YOU rode it into something. It wasn't the horse's fault, but the rider, and in this case, the magazines.

We have gladly placed a retraction at the request of Bioware's Erik Einsiedel and we pointed out in an email to him that it was not US (XboxOZ360-gamer) that made the initial comment on being exclusive, but it was the magazines. The Retraction reads as follows:

Update:

At the request of Bioware's Erik Einsiedel, we would like to publicly retract the comment that Ray Muzyka supposedly made re Mass Effect being "Exclusive" to the Xbox360. His actual "comment" (seen above) did not include the word "exclusive" and thus we gladly retract that statement. We'd like to point out however, we simply commented on an article that appeared in the printed media (X360 Magazine Australia which is a sister publication to the UK parent Company under license with Derwent Howard here in Australia) and did not fabricate the comments.

And while his comment is clearly seen as supporting the trilogy on the Xbox 360 for its entirety and beyond, the word "exclusive" was not used, all be it inferred. So we appologize for that.

Hey guys,

We know you didn't get the info wrong -- you're just basing it off the contents of the magazine, which is also cited. However, even though the Muzyka quote has been amended, the magazine's full statement still implies that's exactly what Muzyka said.

There's no need for YOU guys to apologize if the mag allegedly got it wrong.

@Ludwig

Cheers mate, appreciate the support.

The best news out of all of this is the implicit statements from both our articles of a trilogy being in the works.

Thanks again.

The disputed quote in the subtitle is Australian 360’s words and not Muzyka as some have taken it.

After speaking with Bioware, it has been made clear that our article was merely reporting on the quotes and claims of another publication. The disputed quote was from Australian 360 (which is syndicated from UK 360) and not Muzyka. Bioware may likely follow this up but in meantime here is the quote from Australian 360 in it's entirety that's caused all the fuss:

“Speaking exclusively to 360 at EA’s European Showcase, Bioware CEO Ray Muzyka restated his company’s commitment to bring the Mass Effect trilogy exclusively to the Xbox 360, despite having been bought up by Electronic Arts and analysts claiming it would go multiplatform.”

We are simply reporting on a fellow publication’s story, so we hope that clears things up and you can update your story to reflect that. :)

I don't know what the relationship is between Microsoft and the game. It seems they never locked up the sequels. It is possible Bioware is negotiating in the press. EA could just be shaking down Microsoft for more cash by saying "hey, no one ever said ME 2 would be an exclusive...Unless you want ME 2 to be the WRPG of FF 13, time to come up with some cash."

Haha, isn't this ironic? Joystiq publish an article on how a site "incorrectly" published a quote, incorrectly! :P

Since you appreciate facts so much, here are some more for you to mull over:

1) Our facts are straight. We got the official word from BioWare discounting the news.
2) Despite XboxOZ360-gamer's "correction," their information -- as well as that of Australian 360 -- is still the same and still incorrect.
3) "Speaking exclusively to 360 at EA's European Showcase. BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka restated his company's commitment to bring the Mass Effect trilogy exclusively to the Xbox 360..." Yeah, that STILL means they are saying that Muzyka claimed it would be an exclusive trilogy.
4) You've been banned. *clap clap clap*

As a PS3/PC/PSP/DS Lite gamer.

I don't care.

If it doesn;t come to teh PS3, I'll just play it on the PC, like I'm doing with Mass Effect right now...
