Megaman Starforce, Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword and Yu-Gi-Oh 08 for now, but GH On Tour will follow when I have money, and of course Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Trackmania, (GTA ?) and Call of Duty 5 - World at War will follow when they are released.

1. Advance Wars Days of Ruin (still playing it!)
2. Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword
3. Professor Layton
Full disclosure: I haven't played The World Ends With You yet, from what I heard it might have made my list.

My top 3 are:
The World Ends with You
Shiren the Wanderer
Professor Layton
Although an honourable mention goes to Final Fantasy Tactics A2 which I'm currently massively addicted to!

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
-it's my first time playing an Ace Attorney game and I was very happy with the difficulty after the initial learning curve.
Professor Layton
-I cheated so much when I did the puzzles, but it was worth it for all those picarats.
Space Invaders Extreme or TWEWY
-Space Invaders just rocks and I was really into TWEWY at first but then the story started to drag and I wasn't quite as interested. It made a good impression though since I usually hate RPGs.

Unfortunately, my DS is somewhat neglected, so I've only picked up one game this year. Space Invaders Extreme. It's basically everything I wanted in a DS game-- able to pick it up and play it, for 5 minutes or 50; online multiplayer (without needing friends who also own the game); and not being reliant on the stylus (touch screen can be good; not when I'm flicking my wrist so much it gets tiring after half an hour)
The addictiveness, simple yet deep and challenging gameplay, other online features, DS download multiplayer, budget price, and music worth listening to are all bonuses.

Most of the games I'm looking forward to this year have yet to be released, so my purchases have been scant thus far. Not counting things I've purchased used that were released before 2008, I think I've purchased exactly three games, making Apollo Justice, TWEWY, and Trauma Center UtK2 winners by default. If Layton and Ninja Gaiden ever drop in price I'm sure at least one of these will enter my top three
