Nyko FrontMan guitar compatibility chart

During E3 we spoke with third-party peripheral manufacturer Nyko about its line of FrontMan guitars and which games the different versions were compatible with. We did a quick and dirty post on what we were told during the E3 madness, but Nyko just sent over the chart above, which, admittedly, is much easier to understand.

Wow, talk about inconsistency.

I agree. Why isn't the Wii guitar RB compatible? And it'd make much more sense if they combined the PS3 and PS2 guitars...

GH Wii uses the Wii Remote as the imput device. RB Wii uses an USB RF reciever as the imput device.

Hate to break it to you, but "embiggen" isn't a word. At least, it isn't registered on dictionary.com.

I imagine the lack of Wii compatibility is due to the newness of RBWii... they probably didn't have any way to test compatibility before they shipped.

Also, the GH3Wii guitar uses a Wiimote, while the RB Stratocaster doesn't... since the Frontman does use one, that probably explains the incompatibility.

OT but is there any way to hook up wired PS2 controllers to a PS3?

Yeah, but things like the star power and whammy bar do not work, and you can't use PS2 guitars for the PS3, or PS3 guitars for the PS2.

They should release a system patch that lets you use PS3 guitars for the older PS2 games. Doubt it will happen, though.

What about when using a regular controller or a dance pad?

This shit is getting out of hand.

BAW a third party guitar that works with rock band and guitar hero on the PS3 BAW BAW BAW Nobody would want that!

I mean that there are too many plastic instruments. Even if it IS compatible with both, chances are you've already got the Les Paul, Explorer, SG, and/or Stratocaster lying around. Never mind drums and all that.

I'm still wondering if they work good. I don't want a laggy, unresponsive piece of crap.

RB Wii controllers don't work because they use a RF receiver plugged into the Wii USB port. GH Wii controllers use the Wii remote to communicate.

Do you know whats better than this?

Help! I have the Front Man PS3 guitar, and I can't get it synched to play with my Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. Anyone know if they're compatabile, and if so, how to hook up?
