Penny Arcade Adventures coming to PS3 this fall

After managing the third best game launch to date on Xbox Live Arcade, Hothead Games is prepping the first episode of Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness for release on PS3 via the PlayStation Store. It looks like the release has been part of the developer's schedule all along, but if you're one of the many people who've emailed them asking for the game on PSN, feel free to give yourself a little credit.

"We keep getting emails asking why our Penny Arcade game is not on PSN," said Vlad Ceraldi, Hothead's CEO, adding, "All good things take time and we are very excited to be debuting our first PS3 title and look forward to bringing more games to this platform in the future." By "more games" we think it's pretty safe to assume the rest of the Penny Arcade Adventures episodes – hobos, snark, fanboy in-jokes and all -- are on the way. i was really surprised about how much i enjoyed this game. I don't think i've ever laughed so hard at a video game enemy before. The clowns are the greatest villains in the game.

Does this mean Torque is finally PS3 ready? I'm crossing my fingers for Marble Blast!

Also, PAA is a really fun game. PS3 only owners should be so lucky to be playing this after me having said that.

Ugh this game? I played the demo for like 10 min and I couldn't take it any longer. One of the worst games I have played

They reduced this from a frankly stupid $20 to $10 didn't they?

I would grab this on PSN no doubt. PlayStation fans are salivating for anything RPG related, many even willing to cave and buy an Xbox. I think these guys really missed out by not aiming for PS3 originally. A lot more PS3 owners would bite, or at least a larger percentage, regardless of the price range or episodic nature.

I suppose the same could be said about just about any RPG which makes its way to Xbox (inevitably exclusive). I guess that logic isn't shared by those responsible for putting the games in our hands.

Wow, thats nice of them. And it will only here here about half a year after the other versions! *rolleyes*

Seriously, a day late and a dollar short. I love PA as a comic, but as far as the creators go, their general "fuck you" attitude they take toward the PS3 and sometimes its fans are kinda unnerving. I guess I just expected better from them.
