Not to be the time signature Nazi here, but (the majority of) "Money" is in 7/4 time (David's solo is in 4/4).
But I'm totally with you on the need for some Floyd... I was thinking DSOTM would be a KILLER full-length album (as long as they can find the masters!)

Find the masters?... Even I own a copy of the master tracks in a digital form found on the internet years ago.

I'm yet to get into the Guitar Hero games, but I'd be first in line at the pre-order counter if a GH release ever included Tegan & Sara!
Some Beatles would be great... some older Placebo stuff could be good too. Maybe some of The Cure... Just trying to remember which songs I have that I play air-guitar to, because they're the kind of songs I'd rock out to in GH. Haha.

We need more Primus. It has to be something hard though, something where an unexpecting bass player will just fail within 10% of the song. I'm thinking Tommy the Cat or maybe Wynona's BBB.

Widespread Panic would be insane for rocking out to, and strangely enough, I would love to get into a couple of Phish and/or Dead Jams too...
I realize that Dead and Cream are already in a few rhythm games... but they could do more, and I would eat it up.

I have to see that touch pad used for some Tom Morello solo-ing, can you imagine that? It would be awesome.
Some Ska would be nice, seeing as there is some sublime in there already, but I want some up-beat bouncy songs, like Reel Big Fish.
Joe Satriani, Satch Boogie would be awesome.
Newton Faulkner, you've probably not heard of him, but he's a fantastic acoustic guitarist, very innovaitive, uses his guitar as a percussion instrument, and has some very strange picking techniques (some songs do feature bass and drums)If you're into acoustic stuff, look him up on youtube.

Almost any Arjen Lucassen song- preferably from his Star One releases, as I think those would be the most fun to play and sing on a video game. Although quite a few would be hard considering he uses way more than just guitars and drums...hmmm...

Or some songs from DVDA(Matt Stone and Trey Parker(of Southpark fame)'s band)-Southpark music is amazing!--yes, i'm aware that there's a song available as DLC in Rock Band...

The Darkness and White Stripes seem obvious. More Coheed, specifically 2113 or The Willing Well II, but that might not ever happen, so I'd settle for a song like Gravemakers & Gunslingers.
I'd also love some chill stuff like M. Ward or Elliott Smith, but I don't know how they'd fit with the Guitar Hero vibe.

Anything Tom Waits. Anything. I also second the two Tommy the Cat (Primus) suggestions (an incredible song featuring none other than... you guessed it... Tom Waits!). Ready for your mind to get blown yet? How about some early MC5, the loudest, noisiest, hardest rocking band in the history of music? Kick out the Jams, Ramblin' Rose and Motor City is Burning all would be great. Also, Iggy and the Stooges would be cool as well. Perhaps "I Need Somebody" off of their album "Raw Power".

Iron Maiden, and lots of it (I know the fact that they use 3 guitars makes it a little hard but it's worked before and they deserve more songs in GH).
More RUSH, no question about that. Some Creed would be nice, could totally rock out to lots of their songs. Yngwie Malmsteen for sure. Perhaps some Folk Metal stuff like Ensiferum or Elvenking, very cool very talented bands. Nightwish = Yes.

Top 2 bands that can have their own Guitar Hero following, and fans would buy a complete Wii system if they don't own one already. Those who own a system would buy the disc day 1, I know I would.
