I'm really not a fan of the industry's whole new infatuation with the buzzword "episodic content." They should just be honest and call it "selling you the levels separately."

Does it matter so long as it's priced right?

Yes it matters. I dont want to wait a year to finish my story (game). Would you pay $2 to see the first 30 minutes of a movie, then 3 months later another $2 to see the next 30 mins? After a year you would of seen the whole movie for only $8.

The price is right, interested? I dont think so.

If each part is a coherent plot on its own, and they're released on a regular, predictable basis, I don't see the issue. It is, obviously, just like a TV show. That formula seems to work...

Dexter is one of my favorite shows but why do they need to make a game on it? *sigh*

Seeing as I have never seen a single episode of the series, I have no right to say if it's good or bad, but, judging by the commercials, the main caracter seems like a total douche.

It's a very good show, the books are very good as well but I can see why after the 1st book they changed the story for TV. I won't spoil it for you if you decide to check them out(the books that is), but there are some things that even Showtime and HBO probably shouldn't show :P And I can see where you would get the douche thing from the commercials, they only show the facade he puts on for the people around him in the commercials and well frankly, most people are douches so its the easiest way to blend in ;)

Is Dexter an HBO show? I've never heard of it. And I consider myself up to date on most of what's on TV.

Dexter doesn't need a game. But then again, neither do most TV Shows and movies.

Dexter is a great show but I don't know how it would transition to a game for the iPhone. It would be awesome if they made a full retail game for the Xbox 360 and PS3 similar to Condemned.

Best show of ALL time.
ALL TIME!

Not sure about a game though, maybe a Manhunt clone?

There's only one direction to take this franchise to video game land:

I'm thinkin' Trauma Center.
In reverse.

That would work really well if you could play as Dr. Danco from the 2nd book ;) I really hope someone else here has read them and gets that

I love this show hardcore but I'm not terribly sure it would make a good game.

I don't understand how anyone can complain about anything that involves poking and Julie Benz.

As lovely and angelic as she is in Dexter, its Lyla that gave me the full-on "bad girl" chubbie.

Oh Dexter, she was so meant for you.

Love the show, don't really love the idea of a game based off it though... espeically coming from Marc "Getting up" Ecko

i liked getting up but it got pushed to the side because work and life in general got in the way. i love graph so i'm bias. it was more realistic then jet set games with stencils and the drips. i should dig that game out now.
