Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe adds a killing Joker

Siliconera brings word from San Diego Comic-Con that more karacters have been added to the roster of Midway's crossover fighter, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Specifically, the site confirms Jax and Kitana from the MK games are set to appear, along with DC Comics characters Green Lantern and the clown prince of crime himself, Joker. The site speculates that, since villains in MK vs. DC will be able to perform fatalities, Joker could conceivably kill Superman. We're not sure how happy DC would be about that, so don't get too excited.

Not to nitpick or anything but the headline gets the title of the game right, yet in the story it is referred to as "Mortal Kombat vs. DS Universe" (2nd link in the story). Also what is the big deal with the Joker killing Superman? Wouldn't DC be more upset if the Joker was killing batman?

Or is it because Superman isn't supposed to die? Maybe killing Superman in the game will make you have to wait through a bunch of dead end plot turns and "new supermans" before you can play as him again.

Also: Aquaman has enhanced strength and resistance to injury (due to his ability to survive in the deep depths of the ocean, unaffected by immense water pressure)

He sucks because he was incredibly exaggerated over the years, when the comic started he could jump a building but not fly, He could run faster than a bullet but he ain't Flash and he was stronger than a locomotive but not Stronger than Hulk (I’m aware Hulk is from Marvel but I‘m referring to the crossover) and the Villains sucked ass like the Toy maker, what the f*ck the Toy maker? The Villain of Super man was the Toy maker? Just ridiculous.

The only memorable villains are Dark Seid and the New Gods If you want Lobo (Lobo is awesome tho’ )

There are some good stories like Red Son from Krypton that are actually worth reading but you could easily skip most issues.

They're just so much better at story and characters.

Okay, they're just better at everything. (although DC does have Batman, the Green Lantern, and Watchmen)

More or less, Superman is the Mario of the comics universe, by which he is both a dinosaur of the modern era, and an immutable symbol of comic superherodom.

But they've done some very good arcs with him. The only one i recall as being especially poor was when they tried to retcon him as a guy with electromagnetic powers and that blue/white look back in the 90s

O Rly? Have you read Spiderman: One more day? it was a slap in the face and the way they ruined Marvel Zombies is unforgivable.

What I don’t like about Marvel is that they abuse of the Reset Button.

Yeah I'm just really hopped up on TDKsauce right now. Best comic book movie ever. It finally pays to be a Batman fanboy (aside from the excellent comics of course).

It has now become an instant rent for me, when before I wasn't even interested in the game.
