I tried, but it was stressing me out a bit too much, and ultimately i figured why fight it when i can just have fun with my Nintendo products (recently with Wrecking Crew, FFTA2, and Radiant Dawn)

It wouldn't work because the bounceback is a part of drumming. Not to mention you can't control nuances of cymbals if all you have are sticks.

By the way, when he started drumming it DID sound good. He was playing Sunday Bloody Sunday and it sounded like the real thing-- it was when he started going heavy on the symbols it sounded like crap. I don't know if that was his drumming style or if he was just mis-hitting stuff.

Exactly. Not so much the cymbals, because it is just a game after all, but you need more than a vibration as tactile feedback to get any kind of accuracy. Maybe motionplus5 will have enough accuracy, but the wiimote showed it's inability to do consistent hit detection in the first raving rabbids game (the rythem game portion).

Aside from the fact that they hyped it up to sound much, much better for the core than they knew, figuring that throwing us a bone about EAD Studios being hard at work was enough to satisfy (though Voice Chat was certainly a point in their favor). I hesitate to call it outright lying, but damned if it wasn't distorted severely from Reggie's promises

Guess what...he's right. To actually drum, you need something to hit your wrists back and when you strike it. It's that kind of gameplay common sense that Nintendo is lacking lately. The same lack of common sense that made Nintendo come out with a remote that didn't have 1:1 motion...Oh well, it really doesn't seem to matter as people are buying their crap hand and foot. WiiMusic will probably follow suit.
