The game is supposed to happen long before Halo 1, so how does THAT happen?

Multiplayer. It has Sentinels, why not Flood?

i hate to be the pessimist, but could it be that they were uneasy because the answer is, "no the Flood won't be in Halo Wars," hence they are uneasy because they know it is going to piss people off.

i will be disappointed if there is no Flood in the game, because that is a race that would be kick ass fun to play as. this game will still be great if Flood doesn't show.

Why would there be flood? Why? It's a stupid question to ask. They're the developers and they damn well know that Halo Wars takes place BEFORE they even knew there was a flood.

Stupid question.

Because every person in the game is going to DIE. You do know that right? These guys never make it back, or else we would have heard of them.

Flood could be like the Undead in warcraft 3, that's how i see them working myself.

But i can't see it happening, they have no vehicle's..I'd assume that'd give the other classes a big advantage on them.

There is a movie on gametrailers that I THINK might hsow the flood for like 2 seconds. If it ain't them, I have no idea what it is.

The aliens are playable, if the flood are in the game they would only appear in the alien's campaign.

I believe there's no Covenant campaign, they're only playable in skirmish and multiplayer matches.

If you read the books you'd know the flood has been around a lot longer than the game are based on. >_>

They said that the Covenant would be playable, but only in multiplayer. If they are in the game, it could be the same way for the Flood. Even if they are not in the story, they could be there for multiplayer.

All of the people saying "the flood is not around before halo 1 so they cant be in the game".

Think about this, the Covenant are in the game but have no campaign mode. Whats to stop the devs from having the Flood as a pure MP team. They could also rewrite the history a small bit.

Flood wont be used in the campaign but i could see them being up for use for multuplayer or a sepcial co-op survival type mode maybe? But then again by the sounds of it they just dont want to say there is no flood as it wont be as good then :(

Yo how come they like using this pose?

Remember the last Halo novel had the sarge on the front in the exact same pose.

No, AOL is cutting costs on most of its blogging sites, especially the game blogs. You can find a link to the story if you read the comments on past topics or just search it on google. I guess a lot of the bloggers aren't getting paid now and AOL basically said "stop blogging". I guess its suppose to be resolved by August but all of this info I just stated is just from things I've read hear and there and heard about so don't quote me on anything.

It would be sick if the flood would act as a special ability where either side could call it in to attack their opponent.

If The Flood are in this game, whatever storyline the game has will be irrelevant, cause it won't be canon, and it won't make any sense. If The Flood are in this game, I won't be buying it.

I agree that the uncomfortable pause might have been them all going "Damn! How could we have forgotten!" or like the other guy said "Damn! They're gonna be all pissed off if we say no!" I think going against the timeline and including the flood would be a bad deal. Maybe they could add a flood storyline on later as DLC?

Bah, I hated the flood, not because they were difficult or creepy, but they changed the pace of the game and were nothing more than a frustrating annoyance. I'd rather have had smarter and more advanced covenant to fight during the series.
