I'll probably pick up Resistance. Any reasons why I shouldn't?

nope, its a pretty good game in my book. especially when you consider that its a launch title. the campaign mode is great and its ever better in co-op. multiplayer isnt bad either, though im not sure if many people still play it now (i havent in a couple months).
i think $30 is a great price for it and you can probably find it ever cheaper on eBay now. go for it.

You should totally get into Resistance.Alot of people are still playing and the matches are lag-free.Good weapons and soldier customization along with a proper ranking system. You could also customize your own matches and their is clan support.

They don't use jewel cases or keep cases (Amaray). They're BluRay discs and use the BluRay packaging (just in a different color).

Wouldn't the "Greatest Hits" moniker be relativistic?

WRE wins
Even the 3DO could have had "greatest hits." Road Rash, Alone in the Dark, Crash N' Burn, etc. Nowhere near great when compared to their contemporaries in that generation (Gran Turismo, Resident Evil, F-Zero X), but great for the platform
Though a few of those games on that PS3 list do stand as some of the titans of this generation, too.

Well some of the titles there are multiplatform so it isn't exactly “Ps3 greatest hits”, they are on the Ps3 though but some of them are still multiplatform.
Also calling Assasin’s creed a greatest hit on the PS3 is mere exaggeration if not a lie since is multiplatform and is not great.

@ WRE
using terms such as Oxymoron is pushing it around here as it is. Usin words like relativistic is just outright heresy...

"Relativistic" means "approaching the speed of light".
I think you mean "relatively", which means "in comparison to".
Because I will freaking eat a running table saw if copies of MotorStorm are selling so fast they defy the known laws of physics and the C barrier.

John C,
Yup. It means that as well. As a matter of fact, many English words have more than one meaning. Please read the defintion of "relativistic" followed by the defintions of "relativity". Thanks.

Do you really need a buyer's guide for a number of games you can count with both hands, even if you're missing a finger?

1) Yes, it doesn't matter how MANY there are. People want to know if they should buy each one.
2) Have you ever said something nice? If so, i can't remember it.

The fact that you guys took my comment personally and far beyond anything it was meant to be really says a lot.
I've said plenty of nice things here, but as you've probably found from your visits to the internet, nobody remembers or talks about the nice things. If you don't say something mean, you don't get a reaction.
Need proof? Look at the four comments above this one.

hey, if you say not "nice" things regarding ps3 in a ps3 related post after managing to be the first poster and saying not "nice" things in a series of ps3 articles not to long ago people start to recognize a pattern. that proof is in the joystiq archives.

I think he means taht you never say nice things about PS3, and to be honest, I've been a joystiq reader since the beginning, I have always known you to be one of the most anti-sony posters here. If you would argue that can you pull up some quotes with ps3 compliments that arent backhanded?
wow it will pain you this fall when ps3 has incredible AAA titles, when 360 is month to month dominated by ps3 sales in america and across the world. I wonder if you will change your anti-sony hatred then, or if it is ingrained in your genome.

Super Paper Mario isn't a waste but I would totally buy Metroid and Zelda if they were on 30$ or 40$.
Sonic and the secret rings is cheap and if you have the patience stand the horrible controls for a while until you can upgrade to better controls it's worth it.

voice over: Nothing new on blueray this week?
Try some games. Three of them are
actually good. Available in retro
packaging. Just to hold you over.
voice over: (whisper) Play Station... keep waiting...

It's amazing how people can put a negative spin on something good like cheap games that are actually good

The first doesn't have a story. Well, it does, but not one worth caring about. Here's everything you need to know:
(um ... spoilers, I guess?)
1) Hale has been infected with the Chimera virus, but instead of putting him a coma whilst it turns him into a Chimera, it's just made him stronger and faster.
2) The Chimerans were digging up buildings, rather than building them, suggesting that they're aliens rather than a Russian experiment gone wrong.
3) Hale blew up the Chimeran's main base in England, which made all the Chimera in England spazz out and die.
4) Hale got picked up by special ops. soldiers at the end of the game.
