Wait why isn't Heavenly Sword on there? I've been waiting for that game to drop in price so I can get it.

Heavenly Sword, and the others like R&CF and Uncharted are not 11 months old yet. The is the requirements before they can be considered at a HG title. I believe the old standard for PS2 games was 9 months. Lair would be the next logical addition before Heavenly Sword.

Payam... how do you explain Assassin's Creed then? It was released in November. Whereas HS was released on Sept. 12 2007

funny, but Uncharted is on Greatest hits in Europe this week for $29.99 so how does it work with them being so new over there too? Makes NO SENSE

Wait a sec, then why's Assassin's Creed on there? It was released last November.

I agree--Heavenly Sword should be on there. But then nearly my entire PS3 library would be on the budget list--that's no fun.

(...grumbles at comment system)

Assassin's Creed was released last November--so the "too new" argument doesn't really wash. I guess it's third party though, so maybe it's up to the developer in some cases.

I have a suggestion, pick one of these great titles and let it hold you over till the fall when there are like 20 AAA titles coming to PS3. I was a little confused when the article suggested I buy almost all of these games... maybe if you missed out you should've bought your PS3 sooner. =-/

This Greatest Hits list fails due to the lack of Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank and Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire.

. . . .

Yes I was joking about the last one.

Uncharted, Ratchet and Heavenly Sword are all a bit too "new" too appear in this batch of Greatest Hits games. Next time around though, I wouldn't be surprised.

I would pick up Ratchet & Clank Future if they released a Greatest Hits version. Same with Folklore (but I doubt that one will see a GH release).

Btw didn't they release R&C and HS Platinum in Europe? Why not in US? T_T

Yeah, with the exception of Assassin's Creed, all of these titles are from beyond last year's holiday season.

I just bought Ratchet for 26.99 shipped (that's after a 10% discount for being a member for a year)

The disc was in great condition and I'm more willing to buy used ps3 games from them than 360 games due to the coating. I bought Uncharted for $31.49 (after the same discount)

Can't believe you listed Motorstorm as a Don't buy. It's a steal for the price. Infact every one (except NFSCarbon) are worth every penny.

Shame Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank are not included, but I'm sure they will be in round 2.

I have the biggies on there, but I'm interested in Oblivion. Should I wait for the GOTY edition with all the extra content to come down in price?

And second call for Heavenly Sword. I'd love to pick that game up for $30... besides trying to hunt clearance racks :P

I say pick up the GH version, and then if you like the game, go for any DLC. Unless the GOTY version is only a few bucks more, this is the best way to save some $.

I can't believe you guys are saying "dont buy" to Motorstorm.

IMO that was one of the PS3's best launch games, and sequel-around-the-corner or not...it's a must-buy in my book.

It's a "don't buy" just because the next MotorStorm is just that much better than the original. The addition of split-screen multiplayer makes that an easy purchase over the original.

Oh, I fully understand 'why' you guys are saying it...

I really meant that even with the major upgrades promised for the sequel (because the original DID have it's share of problems), at $30, I'd still have this one in my collection if I didn't already.

But then again, if you think about the fact that it's a racer...it does make more sense to wait for the sequel I guess.

really? I thought it was kinda dumb seeing as how the current full priced doesnt come with the bluetooth headset (and hasnt for like the past 7 months) and well, dropping the price to $30 for a game and a headset cant make anybody any money. The headset alone is worth $20. However, I DID get my copy of Warhawk for $35 with the headset when it came out....but i cant see them paying for headset distribution rights or whatever, paying for the bulkier packaging (which is needed to fit in the headset) all for the new low price of $30 bucks. Wouldnt be a smart decision on their part.

I'm excited as the used bin prices dropped just as much. I sold my Resistance for $30 store credit -maybe I'll get it back for $15 via the used bin. I'm truly bummed about no Drake. I was planning on picking it up to feed my inner trophy whore. I'm not looking forward to Warhawk newbies manning turrets on bases they don't own.

I would have gotten resistance, sigma and oblivion earlier on but games like that tend to scare the unholy crap out of me (pretty big pansy with resident evil games) in any case, I might get them now that they are on sale. i never really got how oblivion works though. is it an mmo?

I guess in some ways it kinda feels like an MMO, but its completely offline single player. You have tons (and I do mean freakin' tons) of side quests to do in addition to the main story, so its definitely worth the $30.

Warhawk @ 30 is not a so hot deal considering that the original price is 40 unless they still give away the headset.

They don't include the headset in the GH version and there will not be one of with the headset at a discounted price. Likely the headset package will be phased out at the orignal price.

@ Payam: Thanks 4 the info
@ Night Elve: It's a great game, I've played it more than 140 hrs it's just that considering that the downloadable version or the disk w/o the headset are 40 bucks, and the other games do get a 30 buck cut I thought it was kinda uneven, but anyway it rocks.

There's no need to actually BUY Uncharted unless you're a collector or a completist. If you just want to play through it start to finish, rent it. It can easily be beaten within the span of a blockbuster 12 day rental.
