Video: Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe combat demo
22
Put on your reading glasses and take a looksy at the new video embedded above showcasing a solid four minutes of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe fighting footage. The game actually looks rather intense, true to form and with the addition of free fall combat and close combat scenarios, it could be a winner. Take in all the video goodness and cheer for the Batman. He and his newfound wealth are all the rage right now, don'tcha know.

Meh. I've been saying, this game just looks like they slapped DC character skins on the models. The animations all look identical except for a couple of special moves.

Looks extremely lame, is anyone really that interested in the "Fight" genre anymore.

Both of you smoke crack. The fighting genre is going great with the exception of this garbage.
SF4 is gonna sell mad and be played alot. Soul Caliber 4 also is gonna sell like crazy.
Plus lets not forget about upcoming arcade releases Samuri Shodown 2 and SSF2THDR.
The in Blazeblue and KOF12.
Like I said you guys are on crack.

"Superman has two weaknesses, Kryptonite, and MAAAAGIC" I've heard he is particularly susceptible to the disappearing pencil trick.

No fatality / Brutality demonstration = Fail.
Eh looks good though but I would have been happy with an Armageddon version that didn't sucked.
Midway is trying to hard to pull a “Marvel vs Street fighter” here. I don't think they will succeeded.

I have to say, I was totally on the "who gives a shit" side of the fence when I heard about this at first. But that gameplay video just looks so fun. I love the MK universe and although the series is just laughably out-dated at this point. I can't help but get a little excited watching Scorpion throw his harpoon. I just need to write myself a reminder to rent this game and not purchase it.

It's easy to hate on a game that hasn't come out yet... especially when the gameplay video they show is this poor. Their characters have absolutely no life to them, they looked like plastic dolls with little to no articulation. The animation was passable--maybe 5 years ago... Welcome to the next generation Midway, oh wait, no--after looking closer at your game, you aren't welcome. You aren't even in the same console generation are you? The Xbox and PS2 deserved better than this and you want to release it on the 360 and the PS3? Seriously? Where do they get off thinking this will pass in today's day and age? I personally really enjoy the fighting genre still--when it's done right. Mortal Kombat hasn't done it right in a LONG time. Ultimately sales will decide if this game fails or not, but from what I've seen, they won't be getting my money for this lazy cash-in...
