Eliciting over 100 comments for the post, Scott Ramsoomair's "Waiting" VG Cats comic was certainly one of the more debated wins of the webcomic wrapup series.
Second and third place both go to 2P Start ("A Different Directive" and "Goomba vs. Roomba", respectively -- remember, we want you to vote for individual strips and not the webcomic series itself). A special nod goes to Monday Night Crew's George Carlin tribute. Thanks to everyone who voted and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomics you stumble upon this week!

Well gee, when a company screws up so bad as to look completely retarded, it might just indeed be fun to laugh at them!
However, Nintendo is much more deserving of this. Sony bumbled their way through PR stunt after PR stunt, Nintendo has forcefully turned their attention away from the people that made their company what it was today and grabbed cash from the outstretched hands of millions of casual gamers who only goal in life is to play Wii Sports once and dump the console off in a bin.

You have a right to disagree with this week's favorite web comic but trolling the thread to this extent is ridiculous. I thoroughly enjoyed VG Cat's web comic, I'm not a Nintendo hater, heck the only systems I've ever owned have been Nintendo/Sega systems. The VG Cat's comic simply echoed what many people felt that fated day when the Nintendo gave their E3 '08 Nintendo Press Conference.
The Pea-Bob in me died that day. :(

Up until about halfway through the comic I thought it was about Scott's own tardiness in getting a comic out for weeks at a time. >.>

You what’s great about VG Cats comic. They never mentioned in the strip that their comic was a parody of Nintendo yet everyone could easily tell that it was. That and the fact that everyone is so fired up about it means that there is some truth to it and they got there message across. That makes VG Cats not the funniest comic but the best one, and that’s what we were asked to vote for.

I get the joke and I did laugh at the green thing dropping dead at the end but didn't we just get SMG, MP3 and SSBM? Don't get me wrong...I am dieing to hear some new on the new Zelda, Kid Icarus or any new franchises but I don't feel like Nintendo has sold out. They are still making those "core" games. They just didn't mention them at E3. Can't casual and core live together in peace???

Yeah, I can understand not seeing a new Mario since we just got one not that long ago, but not a SINGLE screenshot of the new Zelda even though Twilight Princess cam out almost 2 years ago, and not a SINLGE word on what Retro is working on?
I have faith that we'll see something soon, but as it stands Nintendo failed this E3... but then again, they all did AFAIC

Yes Nintendo is still making games for their traditional audience; they are just not aggressively marketing that type of game. I use E3 to plan my video game purchases for the rest of the year. I don’t want or expect a “hardcore" game from Nintendo. What I wanted was the new big casual game. Wii Music and animals crossing were not it. What’s sad it that there are traditional Nintendo games that I should be excited for but Nintendo is not telling me about them. I’m the consumer and if you don’t tell me what to get excited about I’m not going to search for a reason to give you my money.

Well that makes sense. If you plan around the show then you would expect alot but just realistically those games are still coming out. Truth be told their show was a weak one.

I like Penny-Arcade as much as the next guy, but since *everyone* reads that anyway you should put your vote in for someone else every once and a while and not be just a PA fanboy.
For example, there really aren't enough TheNoobComic submissions in these voting threads.

I didn't vote for VGCats (Funny is a requirement) but I stand by the fact that it was the most true.

when nintendo decided to just focus on those people they ended up with the N64 and GC. both were relative failures. why would they continue down that road?
