"Yeah Gabe if you didn't now PS3 is king right now.

PS3 is selling so much more hardware and software than 360 that 360 is now irrelevant." (see: sarcasm)

Guys you sound like children.

I could understand if you would have said "ps3 has a considerable chunk of the entire market and is not easy to ignore" (which is what I think).

But when you say "360.. blah blah blah.. complete wasteland" makes it kinda hard to see you as an honest opinion source. Because clearly the same can be said for the 360. Both PS3 and 360 have enough of a foothold to not be ignored. So calling one system's future a wasteland is a very uninformed comment.

P.S. Hey does Quantic Dream ring a bell?? no?? well do your homework. Not every developer is going to be on X or Y bandwagon. Some will develop for a specific console. PS3 has theirs 360 has theirs.

"Stop playa hatin'... hatah..."

Talk about lack of vision, you fat lazy fookers.

Seriously, why the hell do you guys vote up a comment like this: "If valve think they can creep back, when it all turns sour in 360-land very soon, they have another thing comming..."

Thats just stupid sounding. First, this guy doesnt know anything leading to the 360 going under, and second, how does he dictate that valve will be ignored by PS3 users from now on? Hell, fanboyism is one thing, but thats just ignorant.

I have an idea for a new PSN game. I'll call it Gabe Newell. Basically, it's going to be a 32-player online game, where you have to feed cake to the Gabe, and the more cake you feed him, the harder he is to carry... It'll be better than Portal!

Who cares if it's harsh man, the things I hear this guy say, and he's touted as one of the best devs. He complains about the fact that he can't program for the PS3, yet so many other devs can.

Agreed. I really wish they'd figure this out. I love Valve's games. Half-Life 2 (Orange Box) was the first game I bought for my PS3 and one of the biggest reasons I even broke down and got the thing. Seems to me it's be mutually beneficial for both parties to bury the hatchet.

The "extra content" on this 360 standalone version is only a new map pack that has been available for download for FREE for all PC Portal owners, so don't say it's exclusive, albeit to 360 and PC owners.

Vale is really starting to piss me off though... it's not that the PS3 is that difficult to work on, they are just F*&^ing lazy as hell, and any architecture that doesn't resemble a PC to develop on is "too much work" for them because they would need a new development team.

Valve has officially joined EA in my boycott list. However EA has a chance to redeem itself where as I dont see Valve ever trying to come around. They are simply stubborn fucks who clearly cant handle / dont like a challenge. I hope latest EA's sales figures make them feel like they made a mistake.

On a side note....lets guess what gabe was holding right before that shot.. To me, it looks like he was holding a donut or a jumbo slushy that was photoshopped out for a more "professional" looking gabe lol.

As much as I respect Valve for their games, and understand that they don't have to do anything they don't want too, it still really annoys me that Gabe and pals have their collective heads so far up microsofts ass that they can't be bothered to make games for my system of choice.

Valve makes great games, but as far as I'm concerned, they can %*^( off.

Gabe worked at Microsoft for 13 years and made $millions there. As much as I like their games, Gabe's attitude to non-MS tech just pisses me off.

I don't have access to the Sony devkit, so I can't say what it's like, but I thought the PS3 just used industry standard APIs like OpenGL ES?

You didn't "hurt my feelings". I simply don't want to have to read through your garbage.

If you get no joy from something, get rid of it.

You'll save everyone on here the time and effort needed to read through your crap.

If you need validation for your purchase so badly, look in the mirror cause no one else will give it to you.

Basically, Gabe Newell is a pansy, and isn't up for a challenge. Clearly, other developers are, and as good as half life is, it doesn't make Gabe Newell the Voice of God (since that would actually be Hideo Kojima).

Listen , the Still alive downloadable content is actualy just the maps from the user made level pack based on Portal: The Flash Version here: http://portalmaps.wecreatestuff.com/

It is not content worth desiring over, microsoft is just forcing Xbox owners to pay for stuff whuich the PC owners can get for free; whiuch is the only version you should ever want in the first place.

Well, I have the Orange Box on the PS3 and I don't replay Portal much. Its a tad slow and well... not much excitement in the levels. Especially when you cannot create your own levels. How much do they pay these guys for level design? Boring.

No loss to us. September and October is bringing some better stuff for us... one of which.. guess what.. you can create levels with and share with friends. I won't mention the games name cuz we all know what it is. And the features it has definitely beat out anything Valve is releasing.

Heres to us... the PS3 players/users.

A game like Half-Life is only limited by the 360. Imagine Half-Life3 designed for the ps3 only. It would be Metal Gear 4 on crack.

Regardless of who likes it or not, I find it hilarious Newell rejects a whole new market for steam on the PSN with millions of possible costumers for the games, I wouldnt mind getting a delayed version of Portal so Valve can get Source to run well on the PS3, hell if small time developers are doing such great things on the PSN why is it the mega-game-developing behemoth Valve cant program onto one console. Its ridiculous, its like profits and pleasing all gamers just dont matter anymore...

Valve's Motto

If it's not an MS platform, it's a disaster on so many levels and should be remade until it becomes one.

The extra content is already available on the PC, and there's no new story elements. It's just extra "random" levels.

For me, I really don't care about this one. Now, if they don't bring Portal 2 (or whet ever they call it) doesn't come to PS3, then I'll call Shenanigans.

How come PS3 Fanboys get so pissed off whenever a Valve issue gets brought up.

Guys you don't have to hate them. Come on.

It's a matter of preference. Quantic Dream develops specifically for PS3. I sure as hell don't hate them for it. Am I upset? yeah maybe a bit. But whatever you win some you lose some.

The way I see it if Quantic Dream is a great developer, I loved Indigo Prophecy. If Heavy Rain and all other exclusives are so excellent that I will be missing out then a PS3 purchase is the answer.

If you love Valve's games so much and respect them as a company that it pisses you off that they don't develop for PS3 then get a 360.
