She's waited this long? She's stinking OPRAH.

Oh, maybe she's just now getting around to getting one that doesn't still say "Revolution" on it.

That was sarcasm, FYI. I mean that Oprah probably has the power to get a Wii long before it ever even came out.

On a side note, I bet Ellen already has one.

Oh. Sorry.

I don't really watch these shows. I'm either at school or asleep until they're over.

Oh shush guys. If it was a random kid picking it up, you'd care a lot more. Just because you hate celebrity gossip, doesn't mean celebrities don't exist.
Look, it's a famous person buying a Wii. Props to Wii, the Wii gets points.

To anyone wondering why this is significant, it's not the Oprah just bought a Wii. That in of its self is no big deal, but what matters is how much influence Oprah has over her audience. Now we all know that the Wii by no means needs Oprah's help, and it's doing just fine without her endorsement. That said, her endorsement will only further drive sales and excitement for our favorite console. Oprah is extremely influential, especially in the housewife and retired people demographic (i.e. teh casuals), so if she even mentions the Wii on her show there are certain people who had no interest in gaming suddenly clamoring for their very own "that little white box that I saw Oprah bowling on her TV with".

And filling the Wii userbase with more clueless casual shovelware buyers is a good thing how?

Somebody's got to get Ninjabread Man off our game-store shelves and dispose of it properly...In their children's Christmas stockings.

Great! Now every mini-van driving soccer mom who worships Oprah is going to get a Wii (if they haven't already) and will further push gaming into an abyss from which it will never return. Where there only games made are games like WiiMusic and WiiFit. (Which aren't actual games)

I'm joking...kinda.

You never know, she may have bought Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, No More Heroes and Okami to go with it.

Then again, probably not....
