Maybe its just me but I really found Eden to be alot more enjoyable by myself then with my significant other. Something oddly appealing about jumping around the foreign world with the boards of canada style music in the background that gives a great mood of lonely exploration. That and my GF was terrible at the game and we made no progress as she could not jump correctly. ^o^

Yes. I wished my gf liked the game. She just got frustrated and gave up because she kept falling. Oh well, there's always Buzz.

Eden is pretty cool but it was tough at first. I kept trying to swing around like spider-man or Bionic Commando and once you get the swing of things (pun intended) it's pretty fun.

Yeah, no kidding. That link was uncalled for. The guy who wrote that page is a huge douche himself.

iirc, they said 3 was the sweetspot, whereas 4 players was too crowded. I think they are right.

It's a prime example how most publishers abuse the idea of DLC. Criterion is a shinning fucking example of how DLC should be done. It's content that is largely created after the initial game with ideas and concepts that grow and change its game play. Sadly to most DLC is just a revenue steram, not a mechanism to add-to or change the games we love.

I just didn't enjoy it. Maybe I need to play again, or maybe (as I'm sure several people will point out to me) I need to realign my perception of what a good game is.

Or maybe, just maybe, it's a pile of pretentious poop.

$10 for DLC that should already be in the game at launch? no thanks. biggest scam in the industry right now. hold off some features for 'DLC' 2 months later.
The feature was obviously available at launch?

What's next? $15 extra for co-op mode?

hey, why not À la carte gaming?

Hi Developer, i want the single player campaign for , without the lame tracks by korn. Oh and remove all multiplayer features of game. I'm on a budget here.

Furthemore, download shitty rock songs for bonus music for ingame music? Remember when developers went out of their way to create amazing and memorable soundtracks for their game? And it had nothing to do with the publisher's contract with 'Universal Music Group'?

Hey Favian,

Not meaning to devalue your argument or anything, but I dont see any $10 DLC listed. There is a $10 game (PixelJunk Eden) and $1.50 weapon pack for Soul Calibur 4, which actually sounds pretty reasonable for a little extra game content that is totally optional.

I fully understand the point you are putting across, I'm just not sure if today's PSN update should be the one provoking the response, thats all.

Edit: Didn't notice the "PS3 Game Music" section. Now I understand the impetus for your rant a little more.

I got the PS3, and my gf has the Wii. She loves Eden though. Props to Pixeljunk.

The timed stages killed this game for me. I like it quite a lot but timed games have been unappealing and downright frustrating for me since my first encounter when I was 5. I don't think it needs to be in there. *shrug*

When I saw the music option in SCIV I immeadiatly clicked it to see if it would use my music from the HDD. But no.

On a personal note, I probably wouldn't of used it anyway. I like my SC music epic and from Namco. My grip is if they made the game to utilize additional tracks for the game why not just give us the option of putting our own too? Theres no reason to cock tease us.
