Doom IV getting name change operation

The designer noted that the decision was made, at least in part, because the fourth game in the series will not be a continuation of the events seen in Doom III and its expansion. As for what we can expect from the forthcoming Doom something something, who's to say, though it'll probably involve demons, a shotgun and -- if Doom III was any indication -- us wetting the bed.

Sadly Nickelodeon said they wanted the story to stress the invasion aspect when the creater Jhonen Vasquez wanted it to focus more on Zim and Dib.
BTW it has nothing on Ren and Stimpy which was on Nick too... It was a later in the evening show, you know, when kids should be in bed...

The real question is why something so full of win was on Nickelodeon to begin with?
Invader Zim was one of the best shows to ever Air in Nick and it was canceled, same case with Megas XLR (Except this was on CN) both shows were win but they were later canceled and replaced for crap.

Doom IV would be a fine name - it's not like there was any continuity between Doom II and Doom III anyway.
Can't wait for them to roll out some unbelievably lame Title:Subtitle, though. Here are some suggestions!

Rebooting franchises seems to be the "in thing". It's a good idea imo. Because people who haven't played previous games in a series might be put off jumping in part of the way through.

It may not have had much of a story line. But people might see "Doom IV" and think "oh, I haven't played the first three, I'll give that a miss. Whereas "Doom: Nukem" might attract new players to the franchise.

I don't see why they can't use the IV. Look at final fantasy for Christs sake. That pile of shit has been a completely different game ever since the first one (minus a few actual sequels), and they always just use numbers.
Disclaimer: Final fantasy games are not by any means piles of shit except for the "Legends" series and Mystic quest. Fuck those games.
