So... we have the badass, shiny black edition, and they get the wrinkly green one. Perfect!

"So it's the shiny, badass black edition versus the wrinkly, demented green one. Sounds about right."

Repeat yourself much?

Bastards. Oh well, Yoda is overpowered so it really isn't that big of a deal. Too bad for 360 fanboys that won't have Vader though

No Yoda on PS3, no big deal
No Vadar on 360, big deal.

the Yoda character gives nothing to the 360 game, but Vadar is a far better balanced character.

If that's not enough to choose the PS3 version, how about the crappy load times and frame rate problems of the 360 version?

If you watch the IGN Video Review, it's clear that Yoda is just a cheap b*stard to play against, so I don't even think I would want him. Bring on Kratos character creation FTW!

no frame rate problems on the 360. load times will be non existent with this falls update, tho they are hardly noticeable to begin with. both controllers work fine, but arcade sticks are the way to go if you are serious.

oh, and i wouldn't listen to this guy, he's just denying the inevitable to save his job. soon the PS3 will also feel the power of this fully operational green broken turd. (really tho, both SW characters are pretty crappy).

heh, it's funny how many people were bitter about my comment yet didn't bother disputing it.

know why? because it's the truth. and the truth hurts.

Great marketing technique to try to get multiconsole owners to buy both versions. I'll just stick to my PS3 Vader ftw!

Hmmm too bad

Still I wonder what that extra character slot is for?

I think there must be SOMEBODY hidden on there. I still think Yoda will be unlocked with a Force Unleashed game save or something similar.

Strange, both characters are featured in the TV spots for this game. How will they explain that?

Yeah they wont be DLC, because they are both on the disc.

Shit, I don't want more Star Wars characters in SC4, I want less. I'd probably pay for DLC that removed them.

My god, that's ingenious. Have people pay to remove crap that doesn't belong in the game in the first place. Cha-Ching! Want that taken out, here's some DLC for only $14.99. The possibilities are endless.

I don't believe it. In fact, I'm betting Yoda is already on the game disc.

I'm just wondering if the video was done somehow through character creation.

Awesome, I'd rather not have that cheap SOB on the PS3 version, all I hear from the guys at IGN is that they keep getting schooled by Yoda online because he's so imbalanced.

I kinda want him, but only for single player so I can have a total cheese fest unlocking some of the more difficult tower challenges, and so that empty spot on my roster can be filled, it's driving me up a tree.

But yeah, online? No, no thank you, I've played against that mean green killing machine and want nothing to do with him online, thank you.

he's just bullshitting everyone. he's not permitted to come out and disclose yet that Vader and Yoda will both be DLC for both systems.

it's simple business politics. they'll scam us and offer the characters as DLC soon enough. they just don't want to 'look bad' just yet.

also what's that empty space in between The apprentice and Yoda/Darth for anyways? yeah, thought so.

Exactly right. "No plans" is the exact opposite of a clear answer; it's basically just a slick way of saying "no comment". This is not at all a denial of Yoda on PS3, it's a denial that there's an announcement to be made yet.

you guys are so lame. you all would be saying the same crap if the characters where the other way around. The 360 version also does not have slow down mark you are an idiot. I have both consoles and have compared they are identical in every way except the the 360 version supports upscale to 1080p
and is crisper.

Yeah. about that..... They have a $15 soundtrack to the game you can only listen to in the game and a costume pack while the game has been out less than a week. How on earth are they going to get me to believe that they aren't going to try to charge me $5 to get Yoda in the game? I would pay to have the Star Wars characters and stages taken out of the game, but thats something else entirely.

The only reason I could see him saying this, other than to hide it, or, as was said, Yoda is on the disk and something will unlock him later (Force Unleashed save probably)

If Katsutoshi Sasaki, the director of Soulcalibur IV, is to be believed, there will be no Yoda in the form of DLC in the PS3 version. There won't be a Vader DLC for the 360 version, for that matter.

The interview in MSXBox World contains mostly questions about the Xbox 360 version, but when asked "will there ever be a time when we can have Darth Vader and Yoda on the same console?" Sasaki gave a clear reply of "we don't have any plans for that." The interview is dated August 31st, 2008, but we are going to assume it is from July 31st.

This is contrary to earlier reports on the official Korean PlayStation site claiming Yoda will be available for download from the PSN. And videos like this certainly won't help douse those rumors.
