What's wrong with this picture? It directly contradicts what Soul Calibur IV director Katsutoshi Sasaki said in a recent interview, that's what. Specifically, Sasaki responded "we don't have any plans for that" when asked by XCN if we'd ever see both characters from a galaxy far, far away battling each other on the same console.
You can't get much more official than the game's director, but his comments don't explain screenshots (such as the one above) and video that have appeared on the net clearly (and seemingly authentically) showing both Yoda and Vader in the same version of SCIV. We can't help but think Sasaki is practicing his Jedi mind tricks on us with this one.

Fanboy: Let me see your DLC!
Sasaki: [with a small wave of his hand] You don't need to see our DLC.
Fanboy: We don't need to see his DLC.
Sasaki: These aren't the DLC you're looking for.

Seriously, why deny this if it's true? The video is obviously real, and most of us that own the game are willing to pay for the DLC. I know I am.
Do they not want to make extra money? Sasaki = Idiot.

i see three possibilities.
1) we're gonna have to pay out of our asses to get the DLC, and sasaki just doesn't want spoil the news yet.
2) there truly is not DLC, and the video and screenshots we saw must be fabricated (pretty damn well) or just developers experimenting for fun.
3) there must be some EXTREME circumstances that would allow a player to unlock yoda or vader, depending on their platform.

False advertisement? All the tv commercials I've seen show Yoda and Vader fighting each other. I say return your game to the store and claim false advertisement. And screw their return policy since the game is opened, since the game box shows both Yoda and Vader too!

The commercials show no such thing, the box shows no such thing.

They're not DLC. They're already on the disk. Paying for them just opens them up. So, technically, he's not lying.
At least, that's my guess.

As a player that doesn't have to face a broken character all the time like 360 owners... I don't mind. Really. Primary complaint is there are too many Yoda's online right now.

It's a spam program. You're getting angry and swearing at a piece of software coding.
As cathartic as that may be, it's not very effective. Save your anger for a time when it may prove useful. Now is not that time.

So who's the character beside Yoda/Vader, they clearly aren't already in the game, and why have we seen actual game footage of the two fighting? But it's been suggested before, you'll need a save file on the Force Unleashed to unlock the character.
There's very few other reasons why the PS3 save files would be copy protected.

We want PS3 gamers to compete with XBox360 Gamers ! why not make a connexion between Live and Sony servers ? that would be good ! Or Users hosting servers, and game developers allowing different platforms to compete !!!

Like I've said before, Brawl is the greatest fighting game since Marvel Vs Capcom 2. But it has the edge over MVSC due to its incredibly balanced roster. Nobody is too strong or too weak. And it's so fun, like you would never believe.

God, shaddup with that already. Brawl is a beat 'em up at it's core and while it can get competitive and it is really, really fun, it doesn't have the depth to stand up to the fighting systems of other games.
Take this shit to an arcade full o' people who have been playing fighting games all their lives and they'll laugh in your face. Or spit in it. One of the two.
Garou FTW.

You know what? I'll concede to you. And I'll back you up in future comment threads.
On one condition.
You beat me in Brawl. 1 on 1, no items. You know how it goes.

"Brawl is a button masher for kids. GTFO and have a terrible day."
Way to convey the same thing as I did but in a way that makes you look and sound like a complete and utter ass. Beat 'em up doesn't always = button masher, mang, and while Brawl isn't all that deep, try that shit against someone who knows what they're doing and you're gonna lose. Period.

Yeah, I'll play you when I get better, Fatass. I only started playing this game at the Euro release, but you North Americans have had a whole 2-3 month head start. Plus, I never played Melee, so I won't be a match for you - for now, of course. Give me another month and I believe I'll be able to take anyone on.

Ok...let's just say the guy is telling the truth...and there "is not plans for including vader/yoda in cross-platform versions".
So somebody the explain to me what the blank spot next to The Apprentice is used for AND the fact that everytime I turn the game on it makes a startup check for 'downloaded content.'.................

Well, there IS DLC available...but it's only extra customization pieces and music, not Star Wars related.
I heard the rumor about the Force Unleashed save data thing. It makes sense in a Lucasarts money-shilling kind of way.
