If we have one regret, it's that the game is coming to cell phones instead of Apple's sexy new behemoth. Sadly it seems like we'll have to wait for Carmack's "graphical tour de force" for a portable id game that doesn't look like straight yuck.

Doom RPG is actually pretty fun. Don't knock it till you try it. Much better than 95% of the crap they put on phones today.
The other game they developed Orc's & Elves is equally fun. Similar to Doom RPG but with a fantasy twist. It came after and expanded quite a bit on the style of the game. I tried both and worth the money IMO.

Doom RPG (for cell phones) was surprisingly addictive, and had pretty funny writing as well. I recall one annoying design glitch where I inadvertently went through the door back to the level hub and the game reset all of my progress for the level I'd been playing. Other than that, it was worth having on the phone for when I'd forgot my DS or book during morning bus rides.

You don't know how a FPS and RPG would work together? Really? You might want to read up on a genre called Action RPG. I'm pretty sure there's at least 1 or 2 first-person view games out for the genre since its inception around 1992.

IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED DOOM RPG:
download it. Only get a month, it won't take you that long to complete and it is greatly addicting. Its even pretty funny. I definitely recall giggling to myself in the bathroom stall at work. For a cell game, its easily one of the best.
WOLF RPG will be a day 1 download for me.

It's funny. Doom RPG was more like Wolfenstein 3D, whereas Wolfenstein RPG is more like Doom. What IS this world coming to?

This is awful...I love iD and played RTCW in CAL. I was really hoping for a new version of one of the best team based games ever made.
