- Alexander Sliwinski: I have discovered the crack-cocaine called Civilization Revolution. It's a completely different experience from actual Civilization and I haven't decided whether or not I like it; however, four hours just disappeared the other day while I was playing it, so the addiction level is certainly still there. Need to test the multiplayer.
- Christopher Grant: After trying – and subsequently failing – to find my controllers and AV cord for the original Xbox, my copy of Beyond Good and Evil must wait. Instead, I'll be giving some TLC to Fable: TLC this weekend. Works great on the 360, except if you want widescreen support, you need to set the console to 480p mode. Ahh, that's better. Also: Siren and Eden ... and maybe GeoWars 2.
- Griffin McElroy ...
- Kevin Kelly: Laugh if you must, but I'm joining a D&D game. We're playing the Ravenloft module. Old school, beyotches!
- Kyle Orland: I'll be alternating between trying to beat all of Ludwig's scores in Geometry Wars 2 and taking breaks with PixelJunk Eden
- James Ransom-Wiley: ...
- Jason Dobson: With Disgaea 3 promising to have me grinding teeth on the PS3 later this month, I've recently returned to the series' PSP flavor, Afternoon of Darkness, to help prepare me for the long hours of power leveling, character building, and manic wit to come.
- Justin McElroy: I'm playing a bizarre combination of The Neverhood and Alone in the Dark, if I get any free time. Go figure.
- Ludwig Kietzmann: I've been nursing a hangover all day. Not from drinking, but from the unrelenting assault of colors and particles that is Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2. Playing it until 5AM this morning was not a good idea ... but quitting the game seemed like an even worse decision. And I expect this trend will continue throughout the weekend as I zip through gates (which could kill you OH NOES) in Pacifism mode.
- Randy Nelson: Geometry and PixelJunk filling my screen. Who will win? Why, me of course. That is unless I can't stop playing to eat. Actually, when was the last time I ate? Or drank anything? Oh my. Fact: the Remote Play function of the PS3 is super-rad. It lets me take PixelJunk Eden anywhere. Anywhere.
- Ross Miller: I've been told to haul my Rock Band and Mario Kart Wii gear to a friend's house for a birthday celebration, but while that's going on I'll likely be sipping on a beer playing The World Ends With You.
WRUP: Seeing the world through ColecoVision Edition
42
In August 1982, about 26 years ago, the ColecoVision sported a 3.58MHz processor, 1KB Ram and 16KB VRAM, a 256x192 resolution with 32 sprites and 16 colors, 3 tone and 1 noise sound generators and storage cartridges ranging from 8 to 32 KB. Just thought it'd be fun to put some things into perspective. Here's what we'll be playing this weekend. Be sure to let us know what games will be occupying your time!

Re-discovering Elite Beat Agents and continuing my adventuring in Baldur's Gate II (I'm off to apprehend a tanner in Trademeet!). Oh, and maybe give Super Mario Galaxy a little love, too. :)

Looks like my weekend will be similar to Ross's, only minus the birthday party (that is if my wrist/hand will permit it after I tortured it playing Guitar Hero On Tour last night) >.>
twewy for the win!

I'll be playing some Spyglass Board Games, Small Arms and Worms. My friends and I just got these games to try out some XBLA and we love them. I can't believe for 5 bucks I got mancala, Checkers, Chess and Revers I. it's a pretty sweet deal. Beside that, I will be finishing GTA4 which I had put off.

Izuna 2 is very very good, the first thing to break the EBA/Ouendan/Ouendan 2 rotation on my DS in a long time.
Also, playing through Sam and Max on gametap (and in the middle of replaying Baldur's Gate 1, although I don't have enough time for it).

I just got a beta key for Battlefield: Heroes last night, so I'll be enjoying the living hell out of that until they pry it from my cold dead hands! (Seriously, it's a total return to 1942 form!)
That, and while on some downtime, I will continue trying to getting around to finishing FFIV DS. The difficulty spike at the Tower has forced me to completely rethink my whole playstyle now...

Training for and finishing the last story-line quest from FFTA2
The next-to-last quest was embarrassingly easy, especially compared to the Geomancer challenges which were all ranked about 10 levels weaker (and were ultimately pointless, as i don't have a single Gria in my whole clan)

Yeah, my friend and I started a little chart were going to keep score of wins and losses. It's crazy that no one is ever playing spyglass board games. I go into ranked and always get my friends, I haven't found anyone else to play against lol

I've been listening to PodCasts that I missed all day today and Kietzmann said the same thing on today's PodCast and I swear I read it with his accent. I think there may be a problem there...
Anyway, I've been playing Fable again =)
And Baldur's Gate II is awesome!

Is that the original Ravenloft module or the 2nd edition gameworld? Such a great setting.

Got Okami for the Wii a few days ago so if all goes as planned it's getting some play.
Almost guranteed is minesweeper. I haven't played this unrelentlessly before with any game. Over 1600 games in the past 2 weeks or so and I don't know why.
If I stop Okami for a while I may give Super Mario Galaxy some more love and if I can be bothered to get my Gamecube controller out then start playing Super Mario World on VC.

Im gonna let you know right now, Super Mario World is completely unplayable on a Gamecube controller. The Classic Controller is nothing short of REQUIRED for that game, and many SNES games.

I've heard similar complaints, because the run and jump buttons, on the GC map, are placed opposite each other, instead of adjacent like on the SNES and Classic map, meaning you have to use your shoulder finger for one face button, and your main thumb for the other
I rarely use the GC controller for that, however (mostly because of the lack of Home Menu and Power button)

I’m playing Pokémon Diamond because I never finished it. I'm with the elite 4 and now I remember this game hates Fire Pokémon with a passion. Seriously was Gold and Silver the only games were Fire Pokémon didn't sucked? Leveling my Infernape is a chore since every Pokémon right before the League are either Rock type or Water type with only a few steel types pooping up every 10 or 15 encounters.
The battery died before I could defeat the last of the elite four. I'm trying tomorrow.
Meanwhile there are some achievements left in Condemned 2, Battlefield:BB,TOB (If I feel like it) and some trophies on Brawl.

I so agree with you about fire pokemon in the game. But having a friend who is a super pokemon nerd is a good thing, cuz he trades me all sorts of wicked high level pokemon for my massive army of bidoofs.
I tried once starting with Piplup, but he sucked so hard that I restarted the game!

Actually, Infernape is a little better off than others. Fighting types are very useful in this game, even if Fire types are not
But i don't know from experience, i was rocking with my nearly weakness-free Water/Steel Empoleon. My team was Empoleon, Alakazam, Mismagius, Palkia (mostly so i could overwhelm the last Spiritomb with brute force), Luxray, and Staraptor

Also did anyone think it was weird that Shellos didn't evolve into Lampras? I was leveling him up so I could get a wicked Lampras and then he turns into a fucking Gastrodon! WTF! He shall remain in Box 12 for the rest of his life.

It's funny cuz I just bought TWEWY the other day.
And beat it yesterday, so I'll probably pick up a copy of FF:IV and if it's sold out I'll get the new Trauma Center

Hooray for the Neverhood. I never beat that game. Did you walk down the endless hallway? Or belch for five minutes straight?
I'm playing Quest for Glory 1... most likely three times through. The QFG2 remake is going to be out soon!!!

I'm typing this 20 minutes before the end of the weekend in New Zealand, but whatever. I spent all weekend playing and finishing Metal Gear Solid 4.
Me and a friend have been playing through all of the other games leading up to playing number 4. Oh my fucking god it is amazing.
That being said, DO NOT play Metal Gear Solid 4 if you haven't played the other 3, because though you might think you do, you just won't understand the relevance of everything, and I could imagine it being hard to care if you hadn't followed the characters' epic 9 year journey of awesomeness.
