I love POP classic,I wish Ubi stop sucking and did The Shadow and the flame the same way.
Mr.ESC @ Aug 3rd 2008 5:15PM
Well now that I'm here why PS3fanboy comment system doesn't works?
The Fatass of Kickassness @ Aug 3rd 2008 5:30PM
Are PSPs region locked? If the Dissidia PSP is engraved with the same kind of art the posters have then I just might have to pick one up.
blehh @ Aug 3rd 2008 5:30PM
no ff7 remake =(
Majed Athab @ Aug 3rd 2008 5:39PM
No they are not region locked. Feel free to import.
SoCoolCurt (PSN: KillaKornbread) @ Aug 3rd 2008 6:11PM
they arent locked for games (similar to the PS3). i imported Gitaroo Man from Japan (when i thought it wouldnt release in the states) and it plays great. movies are another story though, of course.
Akamaru @ Aug 3rd 2008 7:09PM
PSP (as well as PS3) is region-free.
The Fatass of Posts-too-muchness @ Aug 3rd 2008 5:35PM
Who cares? It's already in 3D, so the visual update wouldn't be as drastic as the last few FFs, and I can't see Square messing with the battle system... putting it on PSP wouldn't do much except give the five people who haven't played the game something to buy.
Sheppy (of the Fidlious Clan of Wong) @ Aug 3rd 2008 6:57PM
Actually, fatass of post-to-muchess... FFVII is the only character in desperate need of a remake.
After all, throughout development, the art style changed drastically. Even the cutscenes lack a consistant art style from one to the next. Essentially, graphically, FFVII in an inconsistent mess.
The Fatass of Posts-too-muchness @ Aug 3rd 2008 7:40PM
I see what you're saying, Sheppy, I noticed that too. Still, though... I dunno, I guess I'd rather have a console FFVI remake instead.
Sheppy (of the Fidlious Clan of Wong) @ Aug 3rd 2008 8:50PM
Yeah, that would be interesting but from my perspective, FFVII sticks out as the sole title in the series that lacked a consistent style. As much as I would love to see FFVI spared a DS remake and done on a console with "new fangled graphics," I still think FFVII deserves the remake more. After all... FFVII is the ONLY SE title to have polygons... but no textures aside from eyes. To me, visually, FFVII stands as a blemish to the series.
SoulBlade @ Aug 3rd 2008 5:59PM
So what was the big announcement again?
The_Punisher @ Aug 3rd 2008 6:28PM
A demo of a game coming out 2 years after the demo
xD
Maverick Saturn @ Aug 3rd 2008 6:58PM
Its not an announcement, its a review ¬_¬
SoulBlade @ Aug 3rd 2008 8:07PM
Mav, not sure what you're talkin about.. Squenix said they had a big announcement they were going to make at this show, but I haven't heard anything that warrants "big".
Maverick Saturn @ Aug 3rd 2008 8:34PM
Oh, thought you were talking about the joystic article, theres too many people on this site that enter a topic and say something like "This is news because", just thought it was another one, my apologies ^^
j.howlett @ Aug 3rd 2008 8:18PM
look the story about how ps3 made EA the most money. who going to say it must be ps2 this time
colinbell @ Aug 4th 2008 1:25PM
Given that the PS3 is region-free, I wonder how many would be crazy enough to import the japanese version of FF13 and try to make sense of it, J-E dictionary in hand?
Majed Athab @ Aug 4th 2008 1:28PM
I'll be picking it up for sure and will be writing about it.
