It still boggles the mind that they dropped XBLA due to frustration over the 250 MB limit, only to come to a rock-bottom 43 MB limit

The character moves like a drawn to life creation (like there are separate sprites for arms, legs, body, etc.). Makes a pretty game jarring.

Yes the game is truly wretched. Decent art or not the game plays horribly and movement is dreadful.

Take heart and remember - a completely different development studio is handling the port to Wii, and Luc et al have already acknowledged that the two titles will be different at least in level design (if not in functionality).

Plus, if the Steam forums are any indication, Jonathan (the primary PC programmer) is committed to ironing out the troubles, at least PC-side.

Seems like what the PC users got was an alpha release of an at-least-decent game (from my own experience playing it), rather than an awful game (as D'toid and its bandwagoners would cause you to think).

To see Luc's blog post -

Give it time - I imagine a (at least slightly larger) studio can do this game justice on Wii.
