Hudson launched a site for a previously unannounced Wii game called Hataraku Hito (Working People), whose English name is translated as Hard Working People. It's -- we know, this is traumatic -- a minigame collection. But it's a really cute minigame collection about taking on various part-time jobs.
The three jobs revealed on the site so far give an idea of the 50 tasks included in the game: you'll work in a yakitori restaurant, making food and serving beer; you'll harvest vegetables as a farmhand, and you'll even press buttons in response to a list of commands in order to work as an interpreter. Unless we've translated it wrong, which is quite possible, and would be ironic and hilarious.

Gah! Minigames!
Though it actually sounds like a compelling set of minigames. Anything with cooking/serving food makes a lot of people happy, and the interpreter game actually sounds fun to me.
Even though they're minigames, they sound like mostly new ideas.

Unfortunately, I haven't.
I enjoy a good cooking game for about five minutes, so I haven't really put any money into them. You can find flash versions online.

They did make cooking mama so I'll keep an open mind but on paper this sounds worse than the worst part of No More Heroes.
If there's a good variety, that's fun, and functional it might work. I guess it also depends on what the jobs are; hopefully more interesting than farm hand, lawn mower, or gas pumper.

Awesome! I've always wanted to play a game that simulates part-time employment...you know, because when I'm not at work I enjoy pretending to be at work.

They need to come out with a Wanking Mama. That's a game I could relate to.

I tend to like minigames that are actually interesting, rather than the simple mind-numbingly stale minigames that come out every week.
So I'll consider picking this up when it hits here. If it hits here.
