See the Mirror's Edge demo re-created in Portal

Forgoing parkour in favor of teleportation, an inspired modder by the nom de éditeur of EvilWeevil has created a 1:1 replica of the Mirror's Edge demo level from E3 (or, if you'd rather, the initial gameplay footage of DICE's first-person platformer) using Valve's smash action-puzzler, Portal. As you can see in the video, there's no fancy climbing, leaping, balancing, or zipline action – this mod is all about using the portal gun to reach the (all-too-sudden) end of the level. Now to get a hold of the actual mod ... our time with Mirror's Edge at E3 was criminally brief, and we're always looking for an excuse to revisit Portal.

Why isn't there a multiplayer online FPS that has a portal gun? Imagine how much it would affect matches! Like each team has one portal guy who can turn the tide of the match.

UT has had a translocater since the original title. Works along similar principles. Not as much fun as a portal gun though.

I've never even played Portal, but I've seen the Mirror's Edge demo several times and this guy nearly nailed it perfectly.

Color me impressed.

So... basically, Mirror's Edge would be a lot easier, not to mention logically named, if it had a couple of portal guns in it. It'd make an awesome unlock after you beat the game or get 1000 gamerscore points.

Yeah, it'd be nuts if those creepy MJ12 guys (who look an awful lot like Gar from that old tv show, The Pretender) each had one of those things and just popped in out of no where after hearing the sound of the portal opening.
