We're not sure if you've noticed, but there are an awful lot of things trying to kill you in Geometry Wars 2. With so many sinister shapes boxing you in and particles exploding from every angle, it can be difficult to see what the hell's going on, never mind a clear escape route. If you're tired of hearing that final bang and seeing your ranking in the friends leaderboard slip ever lower, might we suggest trying the game's hidden 3D camera?
The fine folks at Giant Bomb (who, in turn, credit former Joystiq writer Jared Rea) have pointed us to this neat little Easter egg which pauses the game's frantic action and allows you to swoop through the battle grid ... and even to the stars beyond. To access it, press the right bumper together with the back button during any of the game's modes. The analog sticks control the movement and direction of the camera, while the left and right triggers enable vertical adjustment. Neat!
If this still doesn't aid you in getting your blaster bearings, you'd best adopt our strategy for remaining atop the leaderboard: Delete your friends.

Delete friends... Why didn't I think of that...?

I think making the game gives them the right to charge whatever they want, actually.
And for what it's worth, GW2 has much more content than the original game. Possibly even double.

I agree with BIGFAT. Since when did sequels jump up in price, regardless of the amount of content in it? Gears of War 2 isn't going to be more than what Gears of War once was.

I'd really like to play this some more, but my Xbox RRoDed right at the beginning of the "Summer of XBLA". And its still taking 3 weeks to repair them, I thought they would have shortened that by now.

They "said" it would take 2-3 weeks. Maybe I'll get it in five days, or maybe it will be like last time and take 3 weeks. Either way, I'm pissed about it.

I haven't bought it yet, but that's a neat feature.

Don't stay in any zone for too long, as the blues will surround it. When they get faster, fly though them in such a way where they get blocked by the zone as you go to the next one. If you're hitting 28/29, then you know what you're doing. Just do it better =)
Now if I could just fly around the damn edges twice...

That achievement was tough for me too, but once you get to 28/29 rings, it's more about getting lucky with zone placement than anything else, I think. However, I think the blues that have been around the longest are the only ones who are the fastest, so I always found using the zones against them to be the best tactic: trying to force them to go the long way around them. Also, zig-zagging just a little bit can kinda throw them off, but it's super tough with all those friggen pinwheels around. Just pray to the geometry gods to give you a lucky ring zone :) Good luck!

@ice~ Ugh... I can't get the 30 zones on King, either.
I did just finally win the Wax on and Wax off achievements last night, though. Wax off took me a while :(
As far as the camera goes - can't wait to try it out!

Imagine if they port this to the Wii, and it included headtracking. Am I too far out there, or does seem like the next logical step?

Damnit, how can you beat Sequence? I have almost thrown my controller into the TV trying to beat the damn thing.

My guess is that whereas reaching 1 or 2 million points is far simpler to achieve in each of the other game modes in GW2 than it was in GW1, Sequence mode is there to show us that we all still are mortal.
