Uncharted trophy patch drops in Europe

What? No fanfare? The trophy patch for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is now available. At the moment this is only true for Europe, but no doubt the patch for other regions will be up soon. We'll be sure to update you when that happens. This patch contains a full set of 48 trophies, 47 of which correspond to the medal system already found in the game. The final, platinum, trophy is only achievable once you've obtained the others.

So go ahead and give Uncharted a dusting off, stick it in the drive and start collecting. Your PSN level depends on it!

Great reason for me to dust off this game and play again

I read on plenty of other blogs where the commenters have to start proclaiming that they, indeed, have succeeded at posting the first comment. Please let's not have this happen to ps3fanboy. It's so fucking stupid.

That said, I can't wait for the US patch. I started playing this only a few months ago, and stopped because I knew the patch was on the horizon and wasn't retroactive.

I managed to grab a cheap copy of this and it arrived today. I didnt play it at all until this evening and bam! Patch! Not 5minutes into the game I get an award/trophy.

Tis a good day! Achievements always added value to a game and Im glad Sony have their own spin on it. Now there is 'more' value in seeking 100% completion of a game. I like knowing I can spy on my friends, and vice-versa.

So if you put in uncharted and have a UK account and download the patch will the patch still work when i log into my US account?

Usually patch are not the same as the games, they are region lock. You can try, though.

I have this game and never really played it. Once that patch drops I'm going to play through since it's so short.

Awesomness.... Now to wait for the NA release.

You never played it before and you know its too short... Its not really short its like 6 hours in easy mode ( if you just jump the treasures and doing the 100% complete).

This is good news! i been waiting for this patch, i have a question about trophies since we dont have 2 or 3 games with trophies.... if a friend of mine doesnt have the game i have... will it show to them that i have this game? or the other friend needs to have the game?

Depends on your definition of short, I've been playing for 25 hours and I think I have another 5+ hours to go.

Game is like 6 hours on easy and thats not looking for everything and trying to unlock everything. But if you try it on crushing and take the time to look for treasures then its over 12 -15 hours long. I died so many times in Crushing Mode it was crazy.

If only this game were a Greatest Hits title here in the States.

Hmm.. I just installed it and there's like 18 trophies that just say "???"

They are the hidden medals. I think they are all just 50 kills with each weapon.

Ah right, silly me.. Ofc it's the hidden ones, thx for clearing that up. :) And to first reply, I meant that 18 of the 50 trophies or however many they are.

hey, did you have to do anything special to get the update. Mine is not showing. Or has it just not updated for all of EU yet?

Can't wait for US release. I'm a little upset that it won't simply detect the medals I've already acquired, yet it does give me an excuse to play through a great game again. I'm so addicted to trophies now. PSN "shortyvs" to compare.

It's probably only out in Europe first because they're a few hours in the future. I expect it in the US later today probably.

I'ts FINALLY time to pick up this game. I've been meaning to since day one but it kept getting pushed back and back and back and next thing I knew, I was playing GTA4 and MGS4.

Guess what Naughty Dog, my $60 is on it's way!

Excellent, I just grabbed Uncharted from GameFly for like $35?

I've also made a couple of videos using Eden's in-game YouTube mechanism showing how to get a couple of trophies.

One is the 10 Pollen thingies in one go:

These two are fairly easy, but it was neat to test out the video recording and uploading to YouTube setup. You simply pause the game, tell it to start recording, tell it to stop when it's done, then tell it to login to your account and upload the videos. One video was 10 megs, the longer one was 50 megs and although I got a message on the larger file that the connection to the server (YouTube) was lost, the video did in fact upload. Very cool feature I hope to see more of, the only issue with it is you cannot upload in the background and must watch it upload the files. Took almost 20 minutes to upload the 50+ meg file.

But AAANNNYWAYs, yeah can't wait to get Uncharted in and this patch! :D

what did you have to do to DL it in EU. I booted the game and even started a new game... nothin

Do you have to play through again? Or is the data on their servers?

You have to play through every title that gets trophies again. This is to keep people from just trading saves and hoarding trophies without even playing the game.

You have to create a new game and unlock em all again. This because otherwise it would be easy to cheat I suppose, just load in a 100% save file.

Great - got my first trophies for uncharted ... Don't forget to start a complete new game (don't take the treasures from another savegame with you ... you won't get trophies otherwise ...)

did it notify you of the patch when you started the game? I'm having trouble

So, can someone confirm that there is no way to grab this patch if you are living in the US with a US uncharted??

When you start the game it will tell you that there's an update V1.01 ... after that you don't get any other "trophy"-notice until you get your first trophy (as i said don't forget to start a complete new game)
