At this point, we think it's pretty safe to call BioWare's KOTOR MMO the absolute worst-kept secret in gaming. After all, the game was all but announced during E3. (That's when EA boss John Riccitiello confirmed it was in the works, you see.) Now comes word that LucasArts is hiring testers with MMO experience. Hmmm.
Specifically, the job posting states that candidates will "test MMO games for bugs" and "strive to help make a competitive MMO." Really, now? It's something listed under the job requirements that has stirred up some intrigue, though. In order to get the testing gig, applicants must have "strong familiarity and experience with gaming consoles and Windows based PCs." So, the KOTOR MMO is multi-platform? Oh, you crazy secret-keepers.

Interesting....considering all the critical acclaim people on Joystiq like to hoist about KOTOR I am interested in what the game will be about.
Still though just because their previous work was stellar doesn't guarantee that this MMO will be good.
Force Unleashed however looks to be a real treat so hopefully they continue that trend.

It may just be me but I'd rather have KOTOR3 than a KOTOR MMO.

...you're not the only one.
Not saying Bioware can't pull it off, but I still have no idea what they were thinking on this one.

A Console-MMO would only be playable with a keyboard or other peripheral. Hopefully this means that Microsoft or on of the other allow keyboards to be used (wait, does Sony allow keyboards to be used, I'm not sure)
Also, I wonder if it might be released on multiple consoles or just one.

You can use a keyboard with the PS3 and 360. But considering how widespread voice chat is with the 360, communicating via a keyboard seems a little redundent.
Champions and Star Trek Online are both coming to the 360, I'd definitely be more interested in playing this on the 360 too.

Snowblind, the keyboard isn't necessary for communication, but for actually playing a game. Most MMO's (except for Phantasy Phail Online) require lots of hotkeys, and a controller doesn't quite cut it.

Considering the best thing about KotOR was the dialogue, it'd make a sucky MMO.
(unless someone figures out how to make an MMO with characters and story that matter).
