Stuff Magazine reveals new Guitar Hero World Tour tracks

Ready to "beat it" with fire-lit butterfly wings? (Note to self: That came out wrong.) The latest issue of Stuff Magazine (via Guitar Hero Community) has a Guitar Hero World Tour preview, which lists nine confirmed tracks and five more confirmed artists. Although we already knew a few of those songs, five of them are new, including The Doors' "Light My Fire," Smashing Pumpkins' "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" and -- yes, really -- Michael Jackson's "Beat It."

Additionally, two of the listed artists with "unknown" track contributions already have confirmed songs (Foo Fighters' "Everlong" and Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher"). Newcomers include Muse, Beastie Boys and Nirvana. We've compiled a list of confirmed GHWT tracks after the break.

Damnit! My one relief of that other list being tagged as fake was that I wouldn't have to play a Michael Jackson song. Is there any way we can disable certain songs from being in any of the random or online tracklists?

The Foo Fighters song was confirmed for GH:WT way before it was confirmed for RB2.

I pooped my pants when I read that Bullet with Butterfly Wings and Light My Fire are going to be on there. Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is one of my all-time favorite albums.

Even thought I really don't like My Chemical Romance, they should have one of their singles in this game. It would be pretty fun to play and sing

So, uh, how do you have a Doors song on here with no keyboard...oh and no bassline?

Not to mention the fact that the doors were terrible.

they keyboards were the bass. They'll just chart it as such.

and on a side note, I like plenty of their songs, but they just don't fit the game very well IMO. Good songs, yes. Fun songs for a game like this? eh..

yeah, what do they do about the long keyboard solo in the middle? i think it would be stupid to make us play the guitar or bass to a keyboard part.

The Doors were average at best. Probably the most overrated band of all time. So glad RB2 isn't wasting any tracks on them.

Overrated? The Doors are one of the most underrated rock bands to this day. Maybe you should try not judging a band based on the two songs that get played on the radio.

How is that possible, seeing as Jim Morrison is looked upon as a god, when he really wasn't all that talented. The Doors don't deserve half the praise they get.

I guess this confirms the supposed leaked setlist was indeed incorrect... but a few of the songs on there turned out to be true.

Beat It AND Santeria? Yes.

There are already more good songs on this partial list than there were in the entirety of GH III. :P This is a good sign.

Bullet with Butterfly Wings is the song I've been waiting to hear about--the song that proves once and for all that the leaked list wasn't completely accurate.

I do think there was some truth there, since Light My Fire and Beat It were on it, but it's good to know that there surprises left.

oh c'mon... no pink floyd, led zeppelin, or beatles... put one song out of one of those bands in and ill be more than happy to pay 200$ for a game...
