Warhawk Trophy patch goes online Aug 27
As it was foretold, the time of Warhawk's Trophy patch is almost upon us. Sony Europe announced that patch 1.5 will be available for the online game beginning August 27. We've yet to hear word from Sony America about a North American release date, but if it's anything like yesterday's Uncharted patch, the updates should hopefully occur on the same day.
Trophies in Warhawk will be conceptually divided into four categories: Community Building, Game Mode, Vehicle and Warhawk Weapons. Although there are no details, some achievements will work retroactively. There will also be separate awards for the expansion sets and, according to Warhawk Game Director Dylan Jobe, the platinum Trophy will not require the purchase of those extra sets. If Trophies are what clinch the deal to buy Warhawk, remember that the game is now available at a "greatest hits" price of $30.

Oh man, I really need to start playing this again!

That makes two of us, Duke...sadly, my copy's been sitting on the shelf, collecting dust for about a month now. Thanks to Trophies included in this title as well as in Uncharted, my PS3 titles are finally getting dusted off. Ironically, I was initially against achievements when the 360 launched, but they do give some great replayability to the titles that one would otherwise just blow through in a couple of days.

Mine has been barely touched at all. I played the beta a lot and then when the game was released I played it a few times without going online, just to see if anything changed. Then I totally forgot to actually go online with it. Pretty sad.

Yep, August 27th will be the day I finally pick it up.
Alert to fellow Joystiqers - Places like Best Buy have have copies of the edition that includes the Blutooth headset marked down to $30! If you don't have a headset, or even if you do - look for that package.

Hmm, did SCEE remove the link?

Sweet! Been playing Bad Company online a lot lately, this is an obvious reason to go back to Warhawk

I bought this after finishing a couple playthroughs of MGS and feeling like my PS3 was wasting away. It's really excellent, wish it were available for 360 as well, as live would help this game quite a bit. Too bad, but go get it if you haven't!
