Yeah, this is a pretty good deal, though the face plates are far from pretty. Oh man, do I crack myself up!

No, actually, it wasn't even funny to me.

That's a deal right there. Does Justin still have 20 gigger? Time to upgrade.

That's a hell of a deal. I've had an Elite since they came out. It sure is nice to have all that extra space, especially with the coming update that allows you to save retail games to your hard drive.

Damn, I might just buy it for the 120 gig drive. Hell its only like $100 more then the drive itself. Nothing wrong with 3 360's in the house :\

If I was in the market for a 360, I would pass on this deal. This sale is most likely to clear out old inventory, meaning the 360s themselves are old and could have the old motherboard. With the old MB, comes the much greater chance of RRoD. I would wait for the official price drop this September.

Just my thoughts. :)

its was a glitch. i bought it like an hour ago and it said $299 throughout the whole sale but when i checked the invoice it said $449 again. so i called Dell and spent the last half hour or so on the phone with them trying to cancel my order.

its a shame too cause for that price, i would certainly have jumped in.

she told me it was a "technico error". i just told her i wanted to cancel then in that case. was anybody successful in getting one for that price?

I ordered mine 45 minutes ago, with shipping $322, says the order is in production and the money has been taken from my paypal account... So I guess we shall see.

well i just got off (yea, i did all that shopping at work. shoulda seen me trying to inconspicuously use my laptop lol.), and looked at the site again and the listing is completely gone. i called and got the woman to cancel my order...but my debit card account still shows like $475 missing. ill give it til tomorrow cause maybe their card transactions dont take for a while but if a 360 shows up on my doorstep, im gonna be pissed.

Don't see the $299 offer. But if you shop under Small & Medium Business, you do get the same bundle at $399 ($50 off).

i love my elite, its a beautiful system. All that space....awww yeeaaaaa sooo sweet.
Sounds like a good deal though, too bad its over, but if anybody finds an elite for a cheap price, i HIGHLY HIGHLY reccomend it, i feel like i have infinite storage and it will definately come in handy for the fall update, when i can put games on my hard drive

This deal was posted on deal forums hours before it was on here. I picked one up and the order status says "In Production" and has a scheduled ship date for Friday. Last summer they had Zunes for $100. It turned out to be a price error and they canceled my order, but I called and talked them into giving me the deal for that price.

If they cancel my order, I'll just call and try to get the deal still. Dell is pretty good about honoring their price mistakes as long as you're decent to their customer service people.

This deal officially starts @7am AUG 7th with a limited supply but if you place your order on the phone today you will placed in their queue and guaranteed to get one and delivered to your door by Monday morning. I just spoke with DELL customer service manager to confirm this!!

I'm not sure why there is a rumor about the deal starting August 7th at 7am, but a call to Dell will squash that dream. Apparently they got flooded with so many orders when the deal went live on the 6th that Microsoft pulled the plug.
