Five LittleBigPre-order bonuses, including Kratos Sackboy

The God of War himself will soon find himself under new employment as Super Awesome Sackboy Superstar. The official US PlayStation blog has revealed that there are plans for five separate LittleBigPlanet pre-order bonuses in North America, depending upon where you reserve the game (a key detail that has yet to be revealed). Here are the bonuses:

The Official "LittleBigPlanet Creator" MiniGuide by Brady Games
A LittleBigStickerBook, which is -- shocker -- a sticker book
LittleBigPouch, a burlap sack reportedly big enough to at least fit a copy of LBP
An exclusive Nariko (of Heavenly Sword fame) SackGirl
Exclusive Kratos (God of War) SackBoy

Sure, the exclusive SackPeople are nice, but we're willing to bet those will eventually arrive as premium downloadable content or recreated/shared via the LBP community. We'll take two pre-orders for the decidedly more tangible LittleBigPouch, wherever that reserve bonus may end up.

I'm confused. Are the Nariko and Kratos sackboy/girl figures for use in game or do you actually get a little plush doll?

Although, they're working on Sackboy plush toys as well.

I HATE limited editions that come with extra content like this, it's an evil way to force you to buy them, because it seems like you're missing out otherwise.

However, I have to say that those little characters are extremely cool, so I'll let them off with it, this time :)

This isn't even a speical edition, it's a preorder BONUS.

MM says they have no plans for any LE versions of this game.

These are pre-order extras (meaning FREE)

I would agree with your thoughts, after ignoring the fact this is a preorder bonus not an LE, if the items were things that had impact on a game, like a gun or level. You wouldn't really be missing out on anything with something so minimal as a character skin though.

It may not be an actual collectors edition, but it's still extra content, even though it's trivial, it's still annoying to miss out on things like that, just because you may not be able to afford the game at time of release.

It annoyed me to no end with Jade Empire, where you could only get two of the playable characters by pre-ordering.

Ok, this doll...kinda freaks me out.

All I want to know is this:

1. Will I get to use Kratos' weapons?
2. Will Kratos sackboy rant on throughout the game about his memories, the gods cheating him and his poor family he brutally slaughtered?

I'm guessing no and no to that.

This is just a skin of Kratos in Little Big Planet.

I know, but would be cool if it did a bit more, ya know, use the chain blades to reach places and help people out :) The second part was just for the sake of Kratos, lol, I know it won't really be in LBP, lol

Awesome. Sony's really understanding the potential of this game.

Now they just need to keep doing this -- for instance, give costume download codes with other major game releases.

Don't let any of the Sony fanboys that there's a tag for "Casual" up there. It might send them into a blind rage.

Anyways I don't own a PS3 but if there was a game that made me want to buy one this is it. I'm still not going to get one though. =P

I think that every Sony fanboy knows that this game is casual. Sony has always been very good at catering to the hardcore and casual audience.

But Nintendo isn't allowed to do it. When they make casual games everyone flips the fuck out. And before the next person says that they don't make any hardcore games Galaxy, Brawl, and Corruption say hi!

i have a Wii and PS3 and i can certainly see that the Wii gets way more shovelware and mini-game compilations than the PS3. but in all actuality, when has Nintendo ever had a steady flow of hardcore games? it's always play this big Mario title, wait, play this Zelda game, wait, try this new Metroid, wait, play this Mario themed sports game, lather, rinse, repeat. and with PS3, they drop all the good games at one time. then i play one at a time and pick them up as i finish the last ones (and as they get cheaper).

everybody has to cater to the casuals, the fact just remains that Nintendo is a little more famous for doing it at the time.

What else can they do to keep us pulling money out of our pockets? Ooohh, maybe some sackboy Marvel characters... Sackboy Wolverine or Prof. X with a wheelchair... the possibilities are endless

They aren't charging extra for this though, it's free with your preorder.

Hopefully I can just create a Kratos sackboy using the in-game tools. Is this game flexible enough to do so? Also it would be cool if you could attach unlocked items from a variety of games, like the treasures you find in Uncharted.

Going for the Amazon pre-order. If both Kratos and Nariko will eventually be release via dl, then I think this is the best option, altho the book will prob be sold seperately I'm sure too. Ahh whatever!
