The "Smile" achievement in Geometry Wars 2 seems to giving people a run for their 800 MS points. Rooster Teeth's new achievement site, Achievement Hunter, has produced a spiffy little walkthrough vid of how to painlessly get attempt to get the 25 gamer point reward. Nobody says it's going to be easy, but then the best rewards in life (that leave you feeling alone and used at the end of the day) never are.
@dark_inchworm Well, first off, in case you're not keeping score, I made that video. Secondly, it's not so much of my thinking it was easy, but once you map out what needs to be done, and figure it how to handle each stage, it really simplifies things.
And there was me thinking was the opposite way around....I'm sure as hell glad I never managed to do it my way because I would have been pissed at the end. Haha.
Ditto. I was going to make a run where I time out on the stages not included in the number list, and to complete the ones that were. Thanks for the video being up, I won't.
As a non Xbox gamer I still have to ask: Do achievement points have a purpose or are they just something to show that you have the ability to achieve certain tasks?
To me at least, achievement points are just a little extra incentive to play the game more than I normally would've, or in a different way. For instance, I played through Mass Effect 4 times to get most of the achievements while normally I would've only played it just once through.
This is a great video. Not only is this a good strategy, this guy has the least douchey tone or voice of anyone I've ever seen talking about how to play a game.
Someone should give him stacks of money and get him to show everyone the best way to get the Mile High Club achievement in COD4. :D
I know we got Mile High Club in the works, though I'm not sure I'm doing the voice over. And I know that it took me less than two hours to get it for myself. Stay tuned.
That was impressive. I'd love to have that achievement. I'd also love it if instead of your last 4 achievements on the most recently played game, your gamercard showed the 4 achievements you're most proud of...but that's a different issue.
That's a great idea! There are achievements that I worked hard on that I would like to put on display. Achievments can be considered good or bad for many different reasons, but for me they add another challenge or another way to compete against my friends.

Man when do achievements stop being challenging fun and become almost like work? To each their own I guess.
