Lars won't confirm Guitar Hero: Metallica (spoiler: it's happening)

It's alright Lars, you don't need to keep it a secret any longer. With or without your intimations, we all know Guitar Hero: Metallica will be joining the pantheon of geriatric rock simulators right alongside that other game, probably next summer. But if you really just want to get it off your chest, go right on ahead ...

When asked about the existence of the aforementioned game by MTV News, Metallica drummer and lead Napster-hater Lars Ulrich said, "... if somebody's gonna follow [GH: Aerosmith] up ... we're talking, and its exciting, and the people at Guitar Hero and Activision are rapidly becoming our best new friends in the world. You can put the rest of it together yourself." We took a moment to put those various pieces together and, sure enough, they basically assembled the retail packaging for the game. I'm the wrong person to ask that question. The only bands that are relevant to me, for the most part, are local ones. Of course, I live in Boston, so I get to see the bands that are relevant to me in Rock Band :)

Only way I'm buying this is if they get Misfits and Diamond Head masters to round out the setlist, similar to how they threw in related/influential bands in the Aerosmith game.

Harmonix needs to act quick before Metallica becomes exclusive to Guitar Hero. I think they'll ultimatley profit more in the long term from being on both games.

I'd get it if it's for GH World tour. I like to sing in the mike while I play the "guitar" in Rock Band. I have no interest anymore in just standing there pushing buttons.

Lars has the subtlety of a honey badger.

So if their last good album was Master of Puppets, and that was their third album, and they've had six albums since then, doesn't that mean that 66% of their albums are crap? That's the majority of their music. I don't know how anyone can say they're a good band when most of their albums are bad.

I love Metallica's music. Lars is a tool. He shouldn't talk.

Metallica is THE most overrated metal band off all time. Most overrate band of all time period. How they've managed to sell so well is a testament to humanity's stupidity. Plus Neversoft will make damn sure it's not going to be fun anyways.

Jared i Don't know if you are one or not but you sound like a typical non-mainstream metalhead or a former metallica fan that starts saying shit without really thinking about it.

I suggest reading some of the comments posted earlier before. No in fact read ALL the comments. If you said that earlier then you would have gotten criticize a lot!
