Most Europeans who want this game will do the smart thing of importing it straight from play-asia.com instead.

But, the fact that Europe is finally getting Chrono Trigger is great! We never got it!

I don't live in Europe, but I am definitely excited about this game, it's my second favourite game on the SNES. NA is getting it this December right? can't wait =)

I`m not surprised. I`ll be going back to England in a few days so I guess it`s a simple import for me. Given the exchange rate these days it`s actually a fair bit cheaper to import anyway.

I thought Europeans of the English or French speaking persuasion just imported games anyway. How much of a discount is it, anyways, since the Euro/Pound is worth so much more than the Dollar/Loonie?

Well, I will place my order at Play-Asia after this post.
It will cost me about 30€, even if I have to pay customs, it is still not more expensive than the price I'd have to pay in Germany (i.e. Amazon).

I'm so torn about Chrono Trigger DS -- on one hand, it's such a classic RPG (one that even appeals to non-traditional RPG fans), that it definitely deserves a resurrection in some form, but I guess my big question is: "Why didn't this come out on GBA?". I mean, I believe the game is good enough that youngins who never had a SNES would appreciate it, and the graphics were some of the best SNES had to offer, but *some* sort of update would have been appreciated. As an almost direct port with some tacked on touch controls, it's simply not worth $35. Graphics and sound aside, if they had put this in some sort of Squeenix "classics" compilation cartridge with Secret of Mana or something (or even better, have a really cool unlockable like Radical Dreamers), that would be one thing.

I just hope that Squeenix has some grand scheme up their sleeve -- like testing the market with CT DS to see if the series is still viable after almost a decade, and if it does, come out with a slew of sequels and side stories on every system imaginable... naw, Squeenix would never exploit a series and run it into the ground. What was I thinking? XD

I don't get it; you said Europe isn't getting Chrono Trigger, but rest assured, Europe is getting Chrono Trigger.
