Master Chief crash lands into Fable 2

If you noticed in the details to Fable 2's Collector's Edition, there was an "Otherworldly Bonus" for in-game content. Packaged with the announcement were screenshots, including one conspicuously labeled "Fable2_MasterChief.jpg." Yep, that's not just a coincidence, you're looking at a faux-medieval variant of the Halo superstar. (Halo 3 ending spoiler alert) I guess we know what universe he crash-landed in.

And here we thought Minstrel Chief was the only Halo reference we'd find. Fable 2 is coming October 21 for US and October 24 for Europe.

My god, that's disturbing. But at least we'll finally get to use that sword we earned in Halo 3.

No. Because that much awesome could not possibly exist in one game.

If that happened I would buy this day one and I have never played either halo OR fable.

I don't even own a 360 or have any interest in Halo, but I must say, that's a really great design.

I'm not usually a fervent item collector, but I agree with you, and if I stumble across 'Mjolnir boots' or something (nerdy Halo reference), I shall simply have to have the whole thing.

I believe you meant "beg," but this situation does not beg the question.

I've never played Fable but I know enough to know that it's not a character driven game.

This makes me bed the question, what are you trying to get at? I don't really understand what you're criticizing here. Poor character development? Fable was never meant to be a Final Fantasy, but more of a fun adventure styled game.

I hate the Halo series anyway, but you've gotta admit that suit looks pretty good.

I hate Bungie for releasing a 800p map pack that they are going to give for free in a few months and I hate Halo players but I don't hate Halo...too much.

Haha, I love when characters (or armor) make cameos in other games. Well, so long as they're from the same publisher or developer, that is.

Ok, I give, I'll shell out the extra 20 bucks for this LE. The question, of course, is where I'm going to get the 220 dollars for too human, this, and Fallout 3 this fall. Oh right, student loans are due this month... just add a couple thousand on to it and BAM, my video game fix is assured.

Any of you remember the Leero Jenkins NPC Cameo on LOTR: Online?... Of course you don't...

An xbox wouldn't do cavemen much good, given their total lack of electricity.

The ingame content you get with this limited edition is pretty cool.. A completely unique dungeon, with spartan armour and a pretty cool looking sword. It's only £5 more in the UK, so I'm sold.

Also, the Hobbe figure is very cute.

I'm sure Minstrel Chief and Court ana will have some lovely subplot to do, and a very small minority of gamers wondering who the smeg these weirdly-named characters are who keep making anachronistic references.

That is pretty darn great if that makes it in.

This is awesome, but it sucks it's only for the special edition version.
