EA dates Godfather 2 for February 2009

EA has opened the briefcase on Godfather 2, revealing that the sequel you can't refuse will ship for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in February 2009.

EA also shed a bit more detail on the previously revealed "Don's View," which promises to kiss the gameplay with a touch of strategy. Here you'll build up, expand, and defend crime rings against rival families by hand picking "Made Men," and sending them out onto the streets to do your bidding. Godfather 2 will also include the previous game's BlackHand control scheme, promising "more visceral hand-to-hand brutality" this time around. As the old saying goes, if you want something done right, do it yourself.

Wasn't godfather the game that was best on the Wii due to the control scheme?

Glad that they identified their most successful element and then ignored it for the sequel... takes skill that.

The "black hand" edition on Wii was the motion control scheme. Sounds like they are just adding more to it with the RTS element. Personally, I'm psyched for it.

I loved the first game, though maybe it's just my undying love for "the Godfather" series as a whole and anything remotely related to it that clouded my judgement. Ahh fuck it, I'm gonna pick this up on day 1!

I dont really like EA,I hate EA but these one looks good.
The last game wasnt up to the Godfather franchise IMO,the wii was OK but overal GTA ripoff with GF style.

But these new one seems to have a more original style and focuses more on the whole mafia deal and strategy in the streets.
